Comments about Ludwig Element Lacquer 4-Piece Emo Shell Pack:
Awesome intermediate level rock drumset! i own one myself! i've got in the red finish (red reverse fade i believe it's called), and it looks gorgeous.
The shellsizes really stand out: the floortom for example is very shallow (13" deep) , making it very nice and punchy, the bassdrum is SUPER deep (22" deep), very nice and loud. it is a bit boomy though but you can easilly fix this with muffling it or putting a head on it with muffling (remo powerstroke, evand emas, aquarian superkick).
it does not come with hardware, you gotta choose that yourself.
it is a set made for heavier playing (as the name "emo" implies). i dont think it will be good for jazz drummers, but if you're a rock drummer i recommend it.
it might be recommendable for a rock drummer to expand it with another rack tom, since rock drumfills require multiple toms most of the time. i expanded it with another 10x8" racktom and a 14x14" floortom that i bought at the musicstore where i got it.
four piece drumset, with a 12x8" tom, 16x13" floortom, 14x6.5" snare and 20x22" bassdrum, no hardware.
the shells are made out of birch and poplar.
