This is a very versatile stand. I use it with my Vintage kits for the visual appeal and on my performance kit (Gretsch USA Custom Maple) for its practicality. This stand fits in between 2 heavy-duty cymbal/tom stands and holds an 18" ride with no problem at all. It is well made and sturdy, like Ludwig products traditionally are. The price-point is great compared to the other flat-based modern stands currently on the market. I would not hesitate to recommend this stand to anyone.
Just got mine in themail. They're awesome!Light as ever, the whole box with all 4 of them in it weighs less than my DW tom stand. Haven't gigged with them yet, but I have 2 20" crashes on them and they're not moving an inch.If you're a gigging drummer who is tired of breaking your back, get these. Also they really compliment my 1967 ludwig kit.
It's great to have a quality flat based stand on the market, these stands look great and are so light. I have 4 of them and love them! They do the job without all the weight.
Just used a couple of these for the first time, they are light and collapse to nearly the size of a tom holder. For a jobbing drummer, they are tough to beat.
This is a good cymbal stand...But it is poorly made. If you are going to buy it only put 12 inch or 14 inch cymbals on it. It would be good for a splash. But it is a nice cymbal stand. I would buy it again.
These stands are very sturdy and still give the retro, vintage look for your vintage drum kit.
