A feature-rich line of chrome-plated hardware that is both light in weight and extremely durable.
The Mapex HP7005 Hardware Pack includes a 700 Series bass drum pedal, snare drum stand, hi-hat stand, boom cymbal stand, and a straight cymbal stand.
All Mapex 700 Series drum hardware has an improved, clamp-style memory lock design, ergonomically designed wing nuts, redesigned rubber feet, double-braced legs and multi-tiered tubular construction with molded slip-proof nylon inserts. Mapex completely re-engineered both the B700 boom and the C700 cymbal stands.
Mapex's popular OS Cymbal Accentutors have been replaced with multi-sustain cymbals felts that allow the player to use any combination of felt and plastic to more precisely control sustain. In addition a Super-Glide stepless cymbal tilter offers unlimited positioning. The Acculock Tilter handle holds the Mapex hardware tight and can be conveniently positioned out of the way.

Comments about Mapex HP 7005 Hardware Pack:
This is good heavy hardware but has some features new players may like but we old guys may not like.
I don't like the round rubber cymbal cushions, I prefer the hard plastic and felt cymbal mounts. I think it gives the cymbals more freedom to "speak."
The pedal is a strong point here; it was as good as my DW5000 and almost as good as my Yamaha 9210. Excellent value pedal, a real surprise.
The hi-hat stand is great except, again, the top cymbal clutch is not what I expected at all. The securing nut is hard threaded plastic, and is not easy to get on the metal threads of the cylinder. I am concerned with plastic to metal threaded fixtures but no problems so far (six months).
The snare drum stand is heavy but my two concerns there are:
It is pretty short for me (I have a full sized Mapex set and I am 6'1" tall).
The metal diameter adjustment is heavy metal and very stiff. No quick set up and adjustment there.
I don't like memory locks but if you do, these are substantial and they LOCK! No slipping with these.
I do like and recommend the cymbal tiller arms on the cymbal stands. Very solid and secure.
Overall, I like the pack. My past experience has been with a lot of Yamaha hardware which is bulletproof but got heavy for me in my old age, and with Gilbraltar, great value and quality for the money. I rate this in-between. If you like its ideosyncrasies, it is good stuff. I'll keep it but recommend you see it in person before you purchase.
