This set is awesome for gigs or studio. it is an overall great set for the money. great for intermediate drummers who are looking for a drumset in this price range. I personally used remo pinstripes that sound great on these drums.
My Mapex drums look so classy. This set made a ffriend and guitarist flip when he saw it. My friend who is getting a deal from Orange County Drums is dying to play it because it is a huge drumset. Definitley worth dropping a "G" for.
this drum set is awesome and its the sickest set I've ever played. Me and my friends agree, there isn't anything better.
I beleive that according to my research Mapex drumsets should have a higher quality than others but they based themselves off of Tama.......Tama stinks Stay Away from Mapex!
While there are better kits and cheaper drumsets in the market - Mapex makes kits that beat the others hollow. These are are awesome professional grade kits at unbelievable prices. I've got M Series and I dont think I'll need another kit for many years to come. After about an year you may want to get Pinstripes for your toms. Bass with factory head is a lil' tricky to tune but when you do- the tone is awesome. Do go for Mapex P580 or P980 bass pedals to go with this kit!! I'm in love with my Mapex drums.
this is a 6 piece drumset sounds so good it should be illegal to sell it under 2 grand. honestly, the hardware is heavy-duty and strong. the drums are in a fusion setup, which means more range in voice. and because it's made of maple, you know it's top quality and built to last.
