Comments about Mapex P750A Single Pedal:

I bought this pedal a number of years ago in a Mapex hardware package...

It's built like a tank, heavy and strong...

But for me, it's clunky; I don't seem to get the quickness I'm seeking in a bass pedal. It just feels clumsy and non-responsive... I've adjusted it numerous times but have yet to find the sweet spot I'm looking for... Also, when adjusted to my liking I get a strange clicking sound...

I think there are better pedals out there for a similar price: The TAMA Camco pedal comes to mind as does the Yamaha and/or Pearl series...

These pedals are lighter and, in my opinion, more responsive.

    Good solid pedal

Comments about Mapex P750A Single Pedal:

I have to give this one a nine overall. Not bad for a pedal that's included with your kit.
This pedal could easily be my main pedal if needed. I got it with a set of Mapex drums. I was surprised at the quality of the pedal, especially at this price. It's as fast as my DW9000 or my Trick bigfoot. If you are on a budget you could do a lot worse than this pedal. The three sided beater is a plus too. The wood side really pops.
Nice and solid. Well made for the price.
Got to give it a 10 for value. Good pedal at a great price.

    Best single pedal

    By Speed Punk Drummer

Comments about Mapex P750A Single Pedal:

I recieved this drum pedal for christmas a last year. It is compeletly amazing, and is without a doubt the best single pedal available on the market. The amount of spring is perfect right out of the box, and the amount of change you can tune it to is the most incredible experience I've ever run into. I used to play with a DW 7000 single pedal and I thought THAT was good. But this is absolutley the greatest pedal I've ever used, especially when using the soft batter side. Worth every penny.

this is a solid pedal. its quick enough for me, but its not compareable to an iron cobra or something like that in speed.
