The Byzance Fast Hi-hat features two different finishes, enabling a dry immediate response, an extremely fast chick, and a short sustain.
The Byzance Brilliant Finish series is handmade in Turkey using B20 bronze alloy. The cymbal's finish is extremely bright due to Meinl's two-step buffing process. The sound has a full mature dark tone that is good for almost any style of modern music.

These 13" Hats have a Signature, Extremely High Pitch Chick sound to them. You can hear it with, or without Mic's. But yet, the Overall Tone to them is Dark, and Smoky in a Classy Fashiion! That's the weird part. Hearing a Cymbal that sings in a Wide Spectrum! Highs, and Lows.
I love the Brilliant Top Hat / (Unfinished) Dry Bottom Hat Combination. Looks very nice. The 8 Holes in the Top and Bottom Hats, makes them live up to their name (Fast).
The Billiant finish is so bright, you not only can see your Reflection, but your Skeleton too! Nicest looking cymbals on my set.
Not an All-Around Cymbal for me. In the area of soft music, they sound a bit heavy, and loud. I have to barely tap them to make them blend. But when the Pace picks up, and the Volume comes up for Mid to High, these puppys sing, and sound great!
