The Byzance Serpents Ride Cymbal provides a blend of definition and tone, with shimmering sound and feel. Its big-sized heavy bell produces a clear and cutting bell sound. Just like a "Serpent" it adapts well in its natural world, or musical environment, and provides you with a well-defined articulate ride.

It features Meinl's brilliant finish, and is handmade in Turkey using the traditional B20 bronze alloy. The cymbal's finish is extremely bright due to Meinl's two-step buffing process. All this handwork goes into making a true musical Meinl cymbal.

Good sound, kinda dark for my likings though. The cymbal has a HUGE bell, im not joking. probably the biggest ive ever seen. nice sound, good for the heavier stuff.

I got to play this one at a friend's place last week, and this cymbal is it for me. Good stick definition, powerful bell sound, nice shimmer...even the crash-ride sound isn't too bad. Sort of like a Sweet ride, but with a more beefy tone. Very good all-around ride cymbal - seems to hold its own in both loud and soft situations.
