Mounts any frame drum to any standard rod.
The compact Meinl Frame Drum Holder is lightweight and completely adjustable to fit any frame drum. Because sometimes a favorite frame drum just needs to be mounted on a percussion rack.
The drum holder's 4 rounded, vertical fingers slide along individual tracks, and are secured by a knurled knob. This sets the spacing. Secure your frame drum iby tightening 2 spring-loaded screws and the vertical fingers grip the frame from inside and out.
Setup and breakdown are streamlined with this system. The Meinl steel frame drum mounting clamp fits any standard rod.

It's great to find a stationary holder for a frame drum so that you don't have to find a place to put the frame drum, pick up the drum, put it down... It creates the freedom to move quickly and freely between percussion instruments. The positives: it's sturdy; adjusts to various frame drum frames; holds tightly to the rod; doesn't bounce, depending on what you attach it to-in this case a cymbal stand. The negatives: biggest one is that the "vertical fingers" (rods) are metal and not cushioned, so there's a concern that the wood frame of the drum would be damaged. Having the fingers coated in rubber, or foam would be helpful. As is, I poked around for something to serve as cushion. Not having anything handy I went shopping. Debated on soft foam hair rollers but found, of all things, toe bandages that can be cut to length. Works fine. So this item needs a bit of jerry rigging to be a 10.
