Comments about Meinl Hand Tambourine with Brass Jingles:

Described as dry brass tam in M/F video which made it sound dry, less bright, a little softer in comparison to nickel or alloy jingles and complementary to the overall mix when in actuality it is tinney, bright, loud and and detracts from the percussion section's part. It is shocking at entry rather than complimentary. It was disappointing. I purchased it based on it's written description and the M/F site video of it being played. It sounds nothing like either. I feel it's misrepresented.

I use musical instruments in my work out, and this piece is perfect weight for my purposes. If I were a musician, this would be a great addition to their instruments.

      Great Sounding Tambourine!

      By Da Drummah

Comments about Meinl Hand Tambourine with Brass Jingles:

I love the sound of this tambourine, especially compared to the nickel plated or aluminum jingle types. This one has a rich, bright ring to it with good sustain. Very comfortable cushioned grip, I like the option of playing the edge with a stick for a jingling guiro-like sound. Frame seems plenty tough as I often hand it out to random people while I play drums.

Comments about Meinl Hand Tambourine with Brass Jingles:

I bought this Tambourine about a year ago and I'm getting ready to buy another one today. It is without question the best one I have owend or Played. It has held up to many different people playing it week after week. It still looks and sounds like it did the day I got it. I keep at my church and that is why I'm buying another one because I always regret not having it when friends come over to jam or rehearse. You can tell alot about an instument by it's popularity and at church it is always sought after. The brass jingles give it a very bright, unique and distinct sound. I hear a huge difference when comparing it with any other tambourine and I have compaired it to every one I've come across, It hasn't been bested yet. It was 5 bucks less last year but you get what you pay for. P.S. I don't give 10s but I truly believe this tambourine is perfect!

      Owned it, Broke it

      By SS-x9Ujf

Comments about Meinl Hand Tambourine with Brass Jingles:

This is an excellent tambourine for sound quality, but it is definitely not as durable as the ad states. I only played it with my hands and within five shows the center jingles went flying through the air. Shortly thereafter the entire tambourine snapped in half.Use this as a recording tambourine, but don't expect it to last in a real-life performance situation.
