i just got this cymbal in the mail yesterday. my first impression was, "wow, this thing is very expensive and heavy feeling." i had been using stock hi hats before this and these were definitely an amazing change. i got the 14 inch, and i am absolutely in love with it. it has a very clean, clear, crisp sound that i absolutely love. i recommend these to any drummer who is on a budget, as well as anyone who is just looking for an amazing cymbal. i will definitely be buying this brand of cymbal from now on.

I bought the 5 peice Tama Imperialstar set and these came as the Hi-Hats. It being my first set I was happy with the quality of them. I've self taught myself drums and have used my friends sets over the past years on occasion. They use Sabian's and Zildjian's. The sound and feel of these is the same and greater. These are well worth the price and would recommend them over the Zildjian A Custom Mastersound!

I practice and cover A Day To Remember, Slipknot, and Avenged Sevenfold the most. If you set them right you can get an amazing sound for any type of music. A pretty good chick sound when closed and a beautiful sizzle when opened just right. I personally like mine open quite a bit to get a long sizzle. In my opinion these sound better in heavy metal songs but not too band in punk either. For about bucks..I'm happy.

Good Starters for the price

Recently ordered a pair of the 13" hats for a student of mine to replace the flimsy pieces of junk that came with her starter set. Had never heard them, but chose them on the basis of the reviews here. I was pleasantly surprised. While they certainly aren't adequate for professional use, they sound pretty decent and are a good budget choice for someone starting out. They blow away the ZBT's in the same price range.

okay so if you are on a budget i recommend these cymbals! they have a nice bright sound when open or closed tight but when they are kinda sloshing together they are great for metal. ive had these for 3 years and im starting to get a crack in the top cymbal, thats my only complaint. but that crack is from dumb friends playing my set every day...lol... great cymbals, buy them!
