Comments about Meinl Mb10 Medium Crash Cymbal:
I too play with mostly paiste. (wuhan china) But the 18in medium mb10 was the best cymbal I heard at my local music store, and I had to have it for my main crash. After around 6 months of practice and light gigging, it cracked almost an inch deep. Any cymbal can crack, but I also noticed it warping slightly after 3-4 months hence why I took a star off. Good news is that meinl has a 2 year warranty.

Comments about Meinl Mb10 Medium Crash Cymbal:
I have owned this cymbal for over a year now and it is a all around good crash. I have played a ton of shows with it and put it through hell at shows and it has done me well. Also a very good cymbal for when you hit the studio. It is very cutting with its big bang of bright followed with its low end.
Comments about Meinl Mb10 Medium Crash Cymbal:
I've had this cymbal for about 6 months now and I have not had any problems with it. It has an amazing tone, it is very high pitched and sounds good with any kind of cymbals. I highly suggest this Meinl.
Comments about Meinl Mb10 Medium Crash Cymbal:
This is definetly not your average rock cymbal! It has a dark roar to it that will leave you feeling like you just got hit by a very loud train. I bought it from a local store because i wanted a good metal cymbal that stood out from the rest (mine is an 18"). If you're looking for that you have definetly found it! The one problem with mine is that if you look carefully around the edge, it is slightly warped. Not that it changes the sound, but it sometimes bugs me while im playing it. Other than that it is an amazing cymbal and plays very well with my Mb10 Heavy ride. Now all i have to do is save up to buy all meinls for my kit...
Comments about Meinl Mb10 Medium Crash Cymbal:
I bought the 18" medium crash from a local store. In the past I have played paiste, ziljian, and sabian cymbals, however this cymbal started the transition to Meinl cymbals. It is warm, but cutting. It's great for rock/metal and I find it to fit some jazz beats I play as well. All around one of the greatest cymbals I have hit . Be sure to protect your ears though, this thing is LOUD.
Comments about Meinl Mb10 Medium Crash Cymbal:
I went to my local drum shop the other day needing to replace my cracked crash cymbal. I spent literally an hour hitting everything on their wall from sabian to zildjian to paiste, and this one won my vote easily. The price is incredible for such a nice piece of equipment. It has a great explosive attack with just the right sizzly decay. Excellent for metal and rock music. Also a huge HUGE feature. Meinl has 2 year warrantys on their cymbals! so no questions asked, if it cracks, you get a new one! So you can beat this thing to your greatest desire! On another note. I live in Fort Collins CO where the studio of choice for rise against is located and their mastering engineer INSISTS on using mb10 cymbals because of how well they record. I myself have made recent recordings and this crash sounds amazing when tracked! GET IT, it will be the best purchase you have ever made for your drumset!
Comments about Meinl Mb10 Medium Crash Cymbal:
this is a great cymbal. i purchased the 18" medium cymbal from my local drum shop recently and this thing is awesome. i was skeptical at first because the majority of my cymbals are paiste but i had to give this thing a try. it cuts through and really explodes when you give it a good hit. the quality is also amazing. it's very well made and shiny too... nice and shiny.before you go with zildjian or sabian check meinl out. and, in the near future, i'll probably be ditching paiste and going with all meinl cymbals. i love these things.
