The Meinl Mb10 Hi-Hat Cymbals have a cutting, high-pitched sound with quick attack. A waved bottom eliminates air lock for maximum clarity.
Meinl set out to get a totally clean modern sound with no annoying overtones. They started out with a B10 bronze alloy that no one else uses, and shaped it meticulously with overlapped hammering and ultra-fine lathing. A two-step high-polish process is the finishing touch in creating the warm crisp sound of Mb10. The finished products are beautiful, with a mirror-like finish. The Mb10s are good for metal, punk, alternative, country, rock and pop.

O own the 14" hats, and these are the best hi-hats I've played. they have a nice solid "chick" well used in every setting from jazz to rock. if you were to close them tightly they produce a nice tight sound used especially well in funk situations. I am a huge fan of metal and when open they give a nice fat sound with a medium ish decay that works very well in any situation as far as metal is concerned. when tapped in your standard jazz pattern they open up nicely, not sounding constricted in the transition from open to closed. Over all id say get these, I have had mine for four years the last three of which they have tuned into a community set at a college and the top one is just now starting to crack a small amount, and i plan on getting the same pair! Because well, these are just so great!

These hats are incredible, crisp, comanding chick,nice sizzle....perfect I love the lower pitch of the 15's - responsive and easy to control - these are pro hihats and they sound like it.If you are looking at these... don't hesitate... with an unlimited budget I still picked thesethey sound exactly like the sound clips

These are probably the best high hats i have ever heard, and definately played. Everything about them is perfect. They sound great when you're lookin for that "open" loose sound, and they sound great closed. Buy these. You will not be disappointed!
