The Meinl MCS Hi-Hat Crash/Ride Cymbal Pack includes a set of 14" medium hi-hats, and an 18" crash/ride. The hi-hats are medium weight with a wide dynamic spectrum and a clean stick response. Warm, brilliant open hi-hat sound and a clear chick. The crash ride is a multipurpose balanced cymbal with a clear ping and medium sustain. Made of a B8 bronze alloy, it sounds powerful and penetrating and is a great value.

A great set to record with

Comments about Meinl MCS Hi-hat Crash/Ride Cymbal Pack:

I'm not usually a fan of budget B8 cymbals, but it seems like Meinl and Paiste have it figured out with this alloy. The hi-hats are surprisingly crisp and do have a wonderful bright and warm open sound, the crash/ride is a bit too washy if you are a hard hitter, but it is perfect as a main or secondary crash. These cymbals, like the Paiste counterpart record beautifully. They also cut great in a live band context, not too metallic like the Sabian or Zildjian B8 alloy cymbals. This is a great value. Get it!
