OVERVIEW

Deep bass tones and crisp highs.

The Meinl Snare Cajon has a full set of snare wires that touch the frontplate from the inside creating a rattle or sizzle effect. A knurled knob adjusts the amount of pressure used to press the snare wires against the frontplate so the effect can range between light and sensitive to very loud. The snare can also be turned off completely. The frontplate's top corners are adjustable with screws, which lets you control the crash or "slap" effect. Loosen them for a strong effect or close them down for a milder response. Choose carbon finish or white ebony frontplate.

      Comments about Meinl Snare Cajon:

This is my first cajon so I can't really compare the sound to anything I have used previously. So far I have used it to host an open mic and at a private party with sing along circle type vibe. A guy there used brushes on it and it sounded great and blended so nice with live acoustic guitars and electric bass. I really enjoy have the strong beat with a low volume yet still getting a decent bass and snare tone.

        Comments about Meinl Snare Cajon:

This Cajon is awesome. I got the Carbon Finish Front Plate version and could not be more pleased. You get wonderful tones both with and without the snares on. The Carbon Front plate is glossy and I is so smoothe. It will get "dirty" but a simple soft cloth will remove the dirt. I highly recommend getting this cajon if you want an adjustible snare mechanism and a good look. I do recoment you buy a cajon bag to go with it.
