I like musician friend, a very good place to shop online, quick shipping, I got my sticks in less than a week. So far I can?t complaint of the pack I got, being honest I wasn?t expecting to get the best sticks for what I paid, someone says they are not good, it depends on what you need them for, if I were a professional I would go with the Japanese oak, (promark?) unfortunately I can?t afford a expensive ones. These sticks are a little different from each other, they are not perfect, but are great for the price, I think these are AVERAGE sticks, you may buy these for practice, rehearsal or back up, you will not be disappointed. I may recommend you something I did with mine, you may buy some sand paper (120) it?s ok and sand them down, some crazy glue for the tips, so they won?t fall apart, choose a pair that the grain or vein goes to the end of the tip those last longer, use a rubber band to hold them together, so they don't get separated, and write your NICK or your BAND name on them, and give them away at the end of your show.

I have a few pairs of these lying around in my basement that a friend brought over. Yhey're very light compared to other drumsticks. they almost seem porous... and they put a weird coating over the drumsticks to make them last longer (since the wood has such little density). yes they last about as long as a normal drumstick pair. not quite, but almost. sure, you can hit drums with them. but there are 3 flaws1) like I said, they're light. too light. I like having more weight behind the stick, but that's just my oppinion.2) the head of the stick (I got 5a wood) sounds AWFUL on ride cymbals. wayyy too muddy.3) I use hearing protection, which makes me play louder. I play verry loudly. when you hit hard, THESE DRUMSTICKS HURT! yes, they hurt. they vibrate excessively and make your hand sting after about 10 minute of heavy playing. especially with rim shots.my oppinion - have 2 or 3 good pairs of drumsticks lying around so you can actually 'play' with. if you really wanna have a ton of backup pairs for whatever reason, then sure, buy these, but don't expect to be good. too light for rock, too sucky sounding on the ride for jazz, and they just hurrrrrt.

Comments about Musician's Gear Hickory Drumsticks:
I always have to borrow drumsticks from the band teacher for my chorus students to use when we use drums with our choral repertoire. These are just fine for our use. I needed these in a hurry and Musician's Friend got them to me in time! Thanks for the great service.

Comments about Musician's Gear Hickory Drumsticks:
One comment said they have no tips, but they do have tips. They are small tips and glued on, but they are nylon tips. Some of the comments are that they are not well made, but if you want high quality sticks, you have to pay for high quality. These are bulk.

Comments about Musician's Gear Hickory Drumsticks:
These are currently the cheapest sticks around and work well for my elementary school students. A serious drummer would probably want higher quality sticks.

Comments about Musician's Gear Hickory Drumsticks:
There is no tip. They will be sharpened spears in 5 min. Bad for the guitarist that I accidentally throw them at on occasion.
