Basic Protection
Much less expensive than some other cases. Different sizes available. A-ok.
Basic 5 piece case set, no frills. Straps, reasonably sturdy.
Seems good, time will tell.

I was very disappointed in these cases, to the point where I am returning them. The quality (thickness) of the fiber was very poor, offering no chance of long term usage. The straps and buckles are attached to the top so that you must load the drum then flip the entire case upside down to buckle. The bass drum case is especially weak given its size relative to its thickness and the fact that you have to maneuver a large drum upside down while holding it together.

I have 3 sets of these cases and getting a 4th. If you're easy on them they will work just fine for storage and minor moves. If you use roadies, you might as well put your stuff UNDER the bus.
Comments about Nomad 5-Piece Drum Case Set:
just like all the other reviews for these cases, I too say that they are crap. I've had them for about a year. The buckles broke off. The corners came off. The rivets are starting to come undone. Do not get these if u want something that lasts a long time and has a protection for your drums.

I have been an active musician for 30 years in my opinion these cases have done a great job protecting my kit for 5 years with no problem.I know they are not bulletproof but with good care they will be o.k.We are consumers and not destroyers.

I've used these to haul a set to church and back every week for two years and there is barely anything left of them. All the corner protectors where off within a couple of months. And then all the seams tore apart. Also the snare box was huge. I have a standard sized snare and that sucker just rolled and bounced around in it. For my own set I bought gig bags. I have had them for 7 years. I had these in college and it include loading them into cars everyweek for gigs. The only thing that happened to them was that one of the straps tore off. I just pinned it together and it works fine. They seem to protect a lot better because the are very well padded.

Bought a set of these for my son's drumset. Absolute junk. Cheap strap and thin walled construction. Handle will come off kick drum case very quickly, only rivets holding handle on what amounts to "cardboard" cases. Save your money for the good skb roto x cases. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and pay for the good stuff.

Wow. I got these today and boy am I disappointed. I picked up the Fusion case set for my Pearl Session Custom. I had a lot of troble fitting my toms into the case. If you use the OptiMount Tom Mounting System, you're going to have to cram it in there. The bass case doesn't take bass' feet into account, either. I barely got the top on with that, even with people's help. My biggest issue is with the "secure nonslip toothless buckle." Guess what. It slips. All the time. You'll have better luck sealing the cases with duct tape. The cases themselves don't offer that much protection. They're half a step up from drum bags. It's reinforced cardboard, more or less. They don't even come with foam to line the inside of the cases.Save your money and go with the SKB Roto-X cases.
Comments about Nomad 5-Piece Drum Case Set:
I was surprised when I got these yesterday. My Starcast mounting system on my Tama's made for a tight fit. The snare case was way over-sized. It's made for like a 10" depth snare. The biggest disappointment was no foam on the inside. For $200 they could have at least put some foam on the inside. I could have kept the cardboard boxes my kit came in and had the exact same thing. Big bummer!
