These cases are a good value for money. The build quality is acceptable for light use, such as carrying your own drums for occasional travel or storage. These aren't really sturdy enough for heavy road use.
I bought these cases expecting them to be similar to my fiber cases from the 70s. They are very similar in construction, but the material used for the cases isn't as thick as my older cases. They are water repellent, which is an improvement. However, the buckles are plastic, not metal. The buckles also strangely end up on the bottom of the case, but this might be because of the telescoping nature of the cases.
I found my 10 and 12 inch Gretsch toms with RIMS mounts to fit VERY tightly to the point of slightly deforming the case, but they do fit and the top does go on.
All in all I'm satisfied. They will do the job for my purpose which is mostly for storage in my drum room and occasional gigs (but for those I'll probably just use my gig bags).

The bass and floor tom cases do not hold up well at all. I play out 2x a month and have noticed the pop riviits are pulling out, and the metal corners, have fallen off. I am careful with my equipment and am amazed as I watch these fall apart on their own. Save your money and my some storage boxes from Staples, paint them black, and you'll have the same thing.
Cardboard, painted....they're horrible.

Comments about Nomad 7-Piece Drum Case Set:
I dont do a lot of gigging so I cant say how well they hold up with constant movement. I have not had any issues with drums getting banged up. As far as having to take bass drum legs off to use them, never had that experience. My advice, buy SKB if you wnat the best but these have a place as well.
I have SKB and oodles of these. I have 5 sets and for storage, they are perfect.
For the moeny they work for me.
I buy SKB when I feel flush and these when I dont. I just ordered my 4th or 5th full set. I use them mostly for storage around my house.

Comments about Nomad 7-Piece Drum Case Set:
You will be greatly disappointed with these cases.I tried to send them back but they cost too much to ship due to size. The bass drum don't fit unless you take the legs off. They look better in the picture.
Comments about Nomad 7-Piece Drum Case Set:
I used cases like these in the 70?s and 80? and they lasted over 12 years before I sold my set. They?re NOT water proof, but they?ll cut down on the scratches and bumps.
Comments about Nomad 7-Piece Drum Case Set:
Buddy of mine had em for 3 months and they just started to fall apart. They feel like they are made of card board.
Comments about Nomad 7-Piece Drum Case Set:
This product is a classic case of deceptive advertising. They are essentially made of cardboard. They are absolutely not water resistant. They really only good for storage. If they get rained on, you're in trouble.
Comments about Nomad 7-Piece Drum Case Set:
These are great cases for the money. They do the trick for me. I play one gig a month and they protect my drums from scratches and dings. They are not made to go on a plane but work great for the back of my suburban. Just treat them with respect and they will take care of you.
Comments about Nomad 7-Piece Drum Case Set:
These things aren't made for touring, but if you need them for light use, they're perfect. I own a Tama starclassic kit and the 8" tom in a little tight due to the star-mounting system, but it's works. I feel like if these things get wet, they'll warp. Anyways good deal for the most part. Cheap cases, but it's better than sticking in the back of your truck and letting them get all banged up.
Comments about Nomad 7-Piece Drum Case Set:
I bought these cases about 6 months ago to protect my yamaha stage custum advantage fusion set. When I first opened up the box, I was skeptical because they were so lightweight and thin. Now my skepticism is no more. I have really enjoyed these cases. I love that they are lightweight because they are not hard to carry around with my drums in them. These cases are really strong. I was very surprised. I have transported them in the back of my truck during heavy rain and they did very well. I would recommend these cases to anyone. The only problem I had was a buckle on my bass case broke...but then again, I was really pulling it very, very hard. Try them out!
