The Nomad Fiber Square Snare Drum Case for 14" snare has an adjustable depth from 5-1/2"-6-1/2".
Nomad drums are fabricated from lightweight, durable fiberboard with water absorption inhibitors. Reinforced with protective metal hardware, all attractively chromeplated. Contoured injection-molded handles. All handle mounts are double reinforced. One-piece, wearproof strap design, secured with a nonslip toothless buckle. All drum cases are a Multifit design with an extra-deep lid that permits each case to accommodate drums of different heights, so if you change a drum, you don't have to buy a new case.

Very light as compared to other cases. It does need some modification for best fit. I put foam inserts to suspend the snare in the middle of the case. I also re-routed the straps. For local gigs it works fine with these mods. Would not trust this with baggage handlers if you travel.

The Nomad 14 inch Fiber snare case is not much better than a cardboard box. Whereas it does have metal corner guards that seem to be securely fastened, they are fastened to a thin material that is no more than 1/16 of an inch thick, with no padding whatsoever. I would not use this without purchasing foam to stuff around the drum. The handle is advertised as "securely mounted"; it is, indeed, using the same rivets. However, the attachment of the handle to the rivet plates is extremely flimsy and I would not trust my $300+ snare to this handle arrangement. The box gives the impression of being easily crushed. If this were used as a shelf storage box for your drum, it might be fine. For the money, however, it is not a good value.
