The Nomad Fiber Trap Case with Wheels comes in your choice of sizes: 24" long x 14" wide x 24" deep of 22" long x 11" wide x 22" deep.
Nomad drums are fabricated from lightweight, durable fiberboard with water absorption inhibitors. Reinforced with protective metal hardware, all attractively chromeplated. Contoured injection-molded handles. All handle mounts are double reinforced. One-piece, wearproof strap design, secured with a nonslip toothless buckle. All drum cases are a Multifit design with an extra-deep lid that permits each case to accommodate drums of different heights, so if you change a drum, you don't have to buy a new case.

It would be much easier to lift the top cover off, & to guide the case along, if it had a handle on top too!!!

First of all I like the interlocking strapsand that it looks new. I thinkit;s built too flimsy. Then walls are very thin. I've used my old case on over 1000 jobs. I don't think this would last to 100. I've also got to reach down to grab the handle (I guess this could be solved by attaching a cord to it). I also don't like that the wheels at one end do not pivot, so it can only be pulled in one direction.I had a job last week and used my old one. Maybe I'm just used to it.

It is not the trap case you remember, like your dad had.
It is the right size case for light hardware, but made of flimsy material. The tray that sets in warped and was almost unusuable after one gig. I had 2 DW 6700 series stands in the top, and a DW 6700 series hi-hat stand in the top. This is the lightest stuff made and this case couldn't handle it.
The sides are super thin cardboard. After 3 gigs one of the handles on the side ripped off and I was not overloading the case.
For the money, this should be a much sturdier case and should last longer than 3 gigs.

i own two of the 2214's (an older one and a new one). the new one is made from a better fiber material than the old one and can truly be labeled water resistant. it also feels like a more durable material. i have never had any problems with the old one i just needed a case for some special lighting and the 2214 (and some strategic foam) worked perfectly. if you throw your equipment around or haul it in a trailer that is not packed well, then you should probably go with skb. but if you haul your own equipment and take reasonable care then this is perfect.

I am a pro drummer and need a strong drum case. This case is a bad investment It was meant for something other than transporting. It's so thin it is wearing out and folding, maybe a mike utility case, not snare and equipment.

After having "retired" from playing out for a few years, I am now getting back into it and needed a few things. I bought the Nomad Fiber Trap Case with Wheels because It looked like what I had before and it fit the budget. Well, that didn't work. The wheels are too small and only two of them swival. The other wheels two only go straight ahead. There's no handle on the top, and what's with the balsa wood going around the top on the inside??? I'll have to replace this very soon.
