Comments about Orange County Drum & Percussion Hybrid Maple Steel Snare Drum:

This snare is fantastic and well worth the money. Though the stock head doesn't sound that great it is still pretty good, my recommended head is the Evans HD Dry. It cuts the overtones and gives it a warm and deep tone. All in all it is a brilliant and is of the highest quality.

Comments about Orange County Drum & Percussion Hybrid Maple Steel Snare Drum:

Great Snare. Combines great qualities of both materials. The throw off is disappointing as it doesn't hold tension and isn't multi-position adjustable. Otherwise excellent drum for the money.

Comments about Orange County Drum & Percussion Hybrid Maple Steel Snare Drum:

If I were you I would stay away from orange county products. I bought this snare, and only played 2 gigs with, total of 20 songs. The top of 1 lug snapped off in the middle of the last gig. I now need a replacement, but according to orange county products department they do not offer a replacement of that style lug. So now I am stuck in a hole with a broken snare. I love musicians friend, but I will NEVER buy orange county percussion ever again

Comments about Orange County Drum & Percussion Hybrid Maple Steel Snare Drum:

So I'm back again, I wrote the very last review explaining how a lug broke off after 2 gigs. Well, 2 more have broke. I went ahead and switched a bottom lug for the top and the snare was back to working condition with a good sound, regardless of the resonant side being down 1 lug. Then 2 band practices later, 2 more lugs snapped off in the same fashion as the first. If you play rock n roll, do not buy this snare.

I repeat......DO NOT BUY THIS SNARE
