OVERVIEW

Explosive, wild smashing mid-range attack, with a roaring and rebellious decay.

This Paiste Alpha Metal Splash Cymbal features a brilliant finish with a raw, aggressive sound character, and a fairly dark touch. With a medium range and a complex mix, this splash cymbal is perfectly suited for complexly layered and loud, aggressive music styles.

Alpha cymbals were first launched by Paiste in 1992. Today, the Alpha brand is synonymous with dependability, and the cymbals are well known for their first-class sound and fair prices. The Alpha Series is now available in a Brilliant Finish, once again advancing these trusted qualities.

The brilliant look is accomplished by skilled craftsmen who hand polish the cymbals to a mirror perfect finish in the final production stage. Prior to that, top-notch hi-tech processes give Paiste Alpha cymbals their initial shape and strength. They are further enhanced by traditional hand-hammering.

Paiste Alpha cymbals have become very popular among professional artists, especially in rock and metal. Working with such drummers, Paiste developed new cymbal models to expand the arsenal available for players in these genres.

Paiste Alpha cymbals have developed a strong following in recent years and are today endorsed by numerous working drummers all over the world, such as Jeremy Spencer of Five Finger Death Punch, Jason Sutter with Chris Cornell, Dave Witte of Municipal Waste, Tommy Portimo of Sonata Arctica, and Steven Spence of Black Tide.

Comments about Paiste Alpha Brilliant Metal Splash Cymbal:

This splash (12" Metal)is probably the loudest cymbal in my kit. It has instant response with a perfect big splash sound. It makes for excellent finger mutes and is especially suited for accents and effects requiring a little volume to cut through loud parts. Made in Germany not Switzerland like some Paiste cymbals it has sweet looks and logos and looks great in my kit.

Comments about Paiste Alpha Brilliant Metal Splash Cymbal:

As I have previously stated for the other Alpha Metal lines, this thing was made for METAL!! Loud & aggressive with an acidic decay, I also have a 10" stacked on top of a 12" for a wicked sound!

Comments about Paiste Alpha Brilliant Metal Splash Cymbal:

I've had this Alpha metal splash in my set up for well over a year now. It's made well and it looks great having a brilliant finish and oversize bell on it. The sound however is very unique. It's got enough volume with a trashy-wah type sound and the decay is about what you'd expect from a 12" cymbal. My problem is were to employ it in any particular song my variety band plays because it doesn't blend very well. It stands out on it's own, sort of against the grain. I find myself hitting it only a few times at each gig. There's no right or wrong here it's just a question of how musical is it.

Comments about Paiste Alpha Brilliant Metal Splash Cymbal:

Real quickly i just wanted to say that this is a very nice splash. It is very durable, i use an aquarian cymbal spring with it and it is magical. The splash itself is very loud however. I use it to accent heavily and also to drive some beats. It cuts through guitars very nicely. I would recommend this cymbal for someone who wants a durable and affordable cymbal.
