Comments about Paiste PST 5 Rock Set 14/16/20:

The highhats are great! they have a nice ching when they are closed and are washy open. The crash has a very fast attack and decent decay, and the ride is un beatable. all in all, these cymbals are the best out there for the price.. better than sabian B8 and much better than Zildjian Zbt, Zht, and Zxt. I would recomend these to any drummer that needs amazing cymbals at an amazing price!!

PST 5 rock set

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Rock Set 14/16/20:

I purchased the rock set along with the pst5 18" rock crash and I'm more than satisfied. These cymbals are THE best cymbals on the market in the respective price range. I converted from the zbt's and the quality difference is vast. The best part about this these cymbals is definitely the hats and ride. The hats have a beautiful 'chick and sound with a large number of ranges between closed and completely open.. the rock ride is very thick with a beautiful sustain and no earpiercing bell. the volume on the bell is perfect.Don't get me wrong the pst5 rock crashes are great cymbals. but they're definitely the one downside of the set. they're pitch is higher than I prefer and the sustain is far too long. With a full hit crash it takes about 10 seconds for the ring to fade completey. All in all, great set. the price really surprisingly low for how good these babies sound. buy the pst5 rock set noww!

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Rock Set 14/16/20:

cant beat this deal! the ride is absolutely amazing, and the bell has the perfect ping to it and is very prominent! The hats are also perfect, probably my favorite of the set. The crash takes some getting used to, it awesome but takes forever to ring out. You should probably use it as your primary crash or else the ring will bother you otherwise. Overall, paiste fails to let me down - BUY THIS SET!

If your hesitant,Fear Not!! Get These Cymbals!!

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Rock Set 14/16/20:

I've tried all cymbal makes, but no make has stood up to Paiste. Paiste have an "airy" Quality that I love. Back in the day I had assorted 2002's, 3000's, signature, rude, color sound, paiste's on my kit. I put the drums down for a while sold my kit and picked up guitar. I recently came back to Drums, but this time around I ended up with Sabian Metal X cymbals, becuase I got a Whole set slightly used. They sounded good, but after cracking 2 crashes and a top hi-hat, I really missed my Paiste's. No Thanks to this Crap Economy, I was on a budget this time around. After Hearing The "very accurate" sound clips on Paiste's web site, I Ended Up buying all Paiste PST5's Rock 18",19" crashes 18" China and 14" hats I was "FLOORED" at how good these cymbals sound! IMHO, They sound as good as sabian metal-x cymbals. Actualy, I think they sound better, but thats because I'm a Paiste man. And, don't worry..They are Heavy, Loud, Strong, and compete with cymbals 2x the price. So, If your hesitant, Fear Not!! Buy 'em.

These cymbals are awesome for the price! I am a jildjian man but could not afford them at the time and got the pst5. I also have a splash and 16inch china. Most people are actracked to the china! I play christian rock every sunday for my church. Everybody likes them! They are very shimmery! Perfect for acoustic settings. I Recomended to everyone!

I bought these as an upgrade for my Ludwigs. I cant believe the quality Paiste offers for the money. These sound like much higher priced Zildjans and Sabians at a much lower price, and from what I can tell, they put up with more abuse.GREAT cymbals- buy them,

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Rock Set 14/16/20:

These are amazing cymbals! I just bought a Pearl Forum kit and got this cymbal pack. The high hats are perfect! I have played Zildjian A Custom high hats and I still think these are better! The crash cymbal is great! It just sounds amazing! The ride is amazing, too! The bell has a great "ping" sound. I HIGHLY recommend buying this pack. I also bought a PST 5 splash and it sounds great, too. So you might want to buy one, too.

I owned a pack of pst3s and loved em but I needed some new ones so I got these for Christmas they sound like Jimmy Chamberlin's cymbals (at least with my kit that is) They Sound like there supposed to. Stick marks are visible but they don't affect anything and they look kinda cool to me. amazing sound and durability if you got the cash buy the pst5s.

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Rock Set 14/16/20:

I have been playing this cymbal set for about 3 months. They have some great qualities, but some downsides as well.Hi Hats: By far the best part of the set, I LOVE these hats. Sound great, nice open sound, great closed sound with a wide range, I absolutely love them, not a thing wrong with them.Ride: The ride is a good cymbal, but I do have some problems with it. The bell is decent, but I would not say it is good. The sound of the actual cymbal is great but it rings out for FOREVER and has harsh overtones.Crash: My least favorite of the set. Just does not sound good... it gets the job done for beginners, but that's really it.Overall: Great set for the price! I don't think anything compares at this price range! So if you are low on cash, pick it up!

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Rock Set 14/16/20:

I have had this cymbal set for a few months now and I have to say I'm NOT disappointed. These are very solid cymbals. The ride has a very nice ping or wash sound depending on how you hit it. The bell sounds great also. The crash is bright and explosive. The hats are pretty thick and have a real heavy crash sound when left open a bit. I play mostly punk, rock, and indie and these cymbals sound great with my PDP set. This cymbal pack is better than the zildjian packs in the same price range. If you don't have a ton of money and need a pack to start up quick, this is the one.

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Rock Set 14/16/20:

I purchased this rock set when I got my new Mapex kit. I went to many local drum shops and listened to all the cymbals in this price range. The Paiste?s where the best sounding for the money. They also look great. Very professional. I love the crisp clean sound of the 16? crash. Perfect! The hi-hats also have a very nice tone. Not tinny at all. The 20 in. ride rings a little much for me but I put a moongel on it and it sounds great. Nice decay. I compared this set to the Zildjian ZBT and there was NO comparison. The PST 5?s bluw them away. I also compared them to the Zildjian ZXT. They did sound good but still not as nice as the Paistes. This is a great set for the money. I have also done a lot of research for my next cymbal purchase and ended up with the Paiste PST 5 18 in. rock crash. For the money you can?t beat it. Go Paiste!

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Rock Set 14/16/20:

I bought these as an upgrade because all i had were stock cymbals that my friend gave me. and i love these. i especially like the crash. its pretty loud and has a good sound to it. the ride is also nice but I put on moongel on it to get rid of some of the ring. the high hats are great too. Also have an 18" alpha rock crash and i think i like my pst 5 crash more.

these cymbals are amazing! however for the money I'd go for the PST3s because they sound just as good if not the same, don't listen to those who criticize the pst 3s they are great. if your on a budget get them instead of the 5s

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Rock Set 14/16/20:

These are definitely a great buy, especially if your like me and can't afford the crazy expensive cymbals. The crash is loud and bright, the ride is nice with a decent bell, and the hats are very crisp and bright. If you play Rock like me you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality!

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Rock Set 14/16/20:

These are great cymbals for beginners and the pros. I am some what entermediate between the two and I got these for christmas and they are great. The only thing i find unsatisfactory is the ring after you hit them. But I actually like the ring because its more of a ping sound which fits my stile of playing.(DEATH METAL DOUBLE BASS, Classic rock and jazz.) Great buy for the price, I really suggest these with hopes that you enjoy them too.

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Rock Set 14/16/20:

I Have had many cymbals before and nothing beats these i just got them in the mail to day and spent an hour playing my drums bashing the living daylights ott them!!! One of the reason why i came to paiste was because my Zildjian cymbals kept on cracking about every couple of months. Then my uncle Ray told me about paistes and they have so much better sound quilty and professonal looks. They can handle a beating and you can always hit softer and still get just as good as a sound unlike zildjains. I would DEFFENTLY RECROMMEND THESE TO ALL THE DRUMMERS OUT THERE!!!!!

These are no doubt the best cymbals you can get for your money. The next step up would be Sabian Vaults and/or Zildjian A Customs
