Paiste Sound Technology (PST) adds an affordable line for drummers who like a traditional sound, look and feel. PST7's base is CuSn8 bronze which stems from the legendary 2002 series. The cymbals are lathed by Paiste's Swiss hand craftsmen to achieve their distinctive traditional look and finish. The result of Paiste's precise Swiss manufacturing is a warm and clear overall sound and by offering three weight classes, light/thin, medium and heavy, PST7 covers a wide range of different music styles.
This Light Session Set offers a bright, airy and warm tone with clarity and tonal definition.

Comments about Paiste PST 7 Light/Session Set:
Unlike drums, which can be tuned to taste; with cymbals, what you buy is what you get. A budget cymbal will NOT sound like a pro cymbal. Choose wisely.
All budget cymbals are not created equal. The PST 7s are a budget line, positioned just below the Alphas and legendary 2002 models, but the PST7s are crafted from the same CuSn8 alloy used in the 2002 series so it's a great starting point.
The PST 7s are not extensively hammered like the professional 2002s, but their sparkling brilliance and smooth, melodic tones puts the PST7s miles above all other budget cymbals like the Zildjian ZBT/S Family or Sabian B8 models.
I could almost place the economical PST 7 Light/Session Cymbal Pack in the same class as expensive pro models, so it's like buying 90% pro cymbals for half the price; a lot of musical value for very little cash.
