Extremely loud, nasty China for higher volume playing.

The sound character of the Paiste Rude China Cymbal is dark, full, raw, and energetic. Has a wide range and complex mix; heavy feel, fairly controllable, and very explosive crash sound.

Background: In 1980, Paiste created the Rude China in response to the extreme developments Heavy Metal and Punk which required extreme cutting power and volume - RUDE was re-launched as 3000 RUDE, then 2002 RUDE and returns to its classic RUDE name in 1999. In 2005 the RUDE series was expanded with the introduction of Thin Crash models, bringing more control and sophistication to that series

Innovation: First cymbal series without lathing featuring uniform thickness and sound engineering to compete with extreme mid-range frequencies and volume levels

Alloy: CuSn8 Bronze, also known as "2002 Bronze"

      Quality: Professional

Production: Manual Craftsmanship - Hand Hammering

Applications: Medium loud to very loud - Live and Recording - Punk, Heavy Metal, Modern Metal derivatives, and contemporary styles rooted in or similar to those styles

Users: Working Musicians, Enthusiasts - All players who need raw energy and extreme cutting power without sacrificing musical cymbal sound

Sound: Raw, lively, bright, energetic, with heavy mid-range harmonics and powerful, cutting characteristics

Looks: Funky, raw surface texture with deep brown to beige and greenish hues featuring prominent hammering patterns - Prominent, classic RUDE white silk screening

Recognition: Attracted a wide following and gained popularity beyond their typical musical application - RUDE retains a faithful following and has become a classic cymbal sound

      Comments about Paiste Rude China:

This China sounds like a trashcan that was ran over by a steam roller, then hammered by Thor into the ultimate thunder clash. Roaring and boastful, cuts the guitars with distortion cranked up down to the ground. Killer response and feel. Looks great hanging upside down with the cylindrical bell.

      Comments about Paiste Rude China:

I got this 2 days ago and I must say that it's very very nice. Very loud trashy sound. After just one hit on it my ears started ringing. If your gonna play with this puppy get some ear plugs. Wish Paiste made other sizes. I'd buy them for sure. I know it expensive but you pay for quality.

      Paiste cymbals are Swiss made

      By Anonymous

      Comments about Paiste Rude China:

I purchased the only Rude china cymbal currently made...18" It has a thrashy crash sound that is tastefully projected when hit correctly. They are only intended to be a crash sounding cymbal, not suitable for multiple hits or rides,or they wash out. When struck one time either before or after a drum fill they have their oppitunity to shine and project. I wish Paiste made other size Rude china style cymbals. If they are taking request for additional sizes I could use a smaller size 16" and a larger size 20".

      Comments about Paiste Rude China:

This china cymbal is nice and loud. It is extremely cutting, and (If You Play Heavy Metal Music) it is awesome to be used on a power groove. This Cymbal is definitely worth the money if you like loud cymbals.
