      Sophisticated rudeness.

The Rude Thin Crash provides today's more sophisticated punk and metal drummers with an additional choice in the Rude sound--cymbals with that same brazen, audacious sound that can be played and controlled with more differentiation.

The Rude Series was developed in the late '70s, when rock and metal were nearing temporary maturity and were decidedly sidestepped by the new punk genre. This new form of music singularly distinguished itself by disregarding all the rules and by establishing a brazen, aggressive sound all of its own. Rude cymbals, with their un-lathed surface, uniform thickness, and aggressive frequency mix perfectly mirrored the unconventional trend of the time. Today's popular music firmly roots itself in the history of rock, metal and punk and continues to expand these genres, Rude cymbals continue to be very appropriate sounds for drummers.

Comments about Paiste Rude Thin Crash:

This crash is absolutely insane! It was purposefully made to be louder than any other crash out there! 17" has a great lower pitch when paired with my 17" wild crash, a little more than a full octave difference. Brutal explosive shattering hail storm in my brain O.o

      Thin? Not really...

      By JesusFreak517

Comments about Paiste Rude Thin Crash:

I've just recently switched over to Paiste about two years ago, and have to say I've never been more satisfied with the sound of my cymbals. They're expensive, yes, but well worth it, especially if you usually buy used like I do. I was at a music shop just last week and saw the RUDE thin crashes set up with a WILD crash as well. I felt the cymbal, it's not thin AT ALL! It's more like a medium/medium heavy crash, but sounds like a power crash. These would be a perfect all-around cymbal. The wild crash was insanely loud, also. So loud it made me dizzy. Check it.

      MUST BUY

Comments about Paiste Rude Thin Crash:

I own the 16" and 17" thin crashes as well as the 20" power ride and two 18" chinas, all i can say is the Rude line is hands down the best i have ever played. For metal or ANY other genre out there. If you are like me and read reviews before making purchases, especially pricey cymbal purchase, I STRONGLY urge you to buy these cymbals, you will not be disappointed

Comments about Paiste Rude Thin Crash:

I got the 19" a few weeks ago and it is def. worth every penny. My guitarist didnt see me set her up and when I hit it for the first time he stopped playing and said "What was THAT!?!" Easily the thickest thin crash I've ever played, you wont be disappointed.

      Thin? Please...

      By the Jignod

Comments about Paiste Rude Thin Crash:

I bought the 18" and its my second rude (the other being the 18" china) This is the thickist thin crash I've ever used. It has a nice musical decay and fits in well with my Paiste Sigs. I'd recommend this to anyone. Esp. those of you who ply those Zils and Sabian craps.

      Multi-Purpose

      By The DarkOne

      from Detroit

Comments about Paiste Rude Thin Crash:

It's "thin" in relation to the other RUDE cymbals, but it has loads of power to it. I have used the 18" and it's actually a great compliment to my 18" 2002 crash. It has a deep tone and you can do a lot with it. You can use it for more than just Metal. If your looking for a lower tone in a Crash that's still versatile and still compliments the other series of cymbals take a closer look at this one.

      19

      By Will Jaeger

      from Denton, TX

Comments about Paiste Rude Thin Crash:

These are "thin" crash cymbals in name only. They perform like angry rock crashes. They are powerful and cutting, but retain that silvery Paiste crash shimmer that we all know and love. I use my 20" as a crash ride, and it has stood up to the beatings I've given it very well.

      These things crack?

Comments about Paiste Rude Thin Crash:

I've had my 19 inch for almost 2 years and it was my favorite cymbal out of all 8 I own. Recently it cracked and I am devistated. The cymbal has a great sound and cuts through perfectly. Also its the loudist cymbal I have ever hit. Im interested in replacing it with the new rude Wild crashes.

I got the 19" one and I cannot hit it without ear plugs or else my ears start ringing for awhile. The sound cuts through all my friends' stacks and the sound it gives is just amazing.

      simply amazing.

      By FLdrummer

      from ventura county, CA

Comments about Paiste Rude Thin Crash:

Although it is quite expensive, it is more quality, and sheer power than you could ever expect from a crash cymbal. I play in a metal band and it?s a good multi-purpose cymbal. Even though it?s a "thin" crash, it has a heavy feel, yet extremely responsive. It?s a good accompaniment to other beats, and it's also excellent to crash/ride on.
