Comments about Paiste Twenty Masters Collection Sweet Ride:
Perfect dark wash that floats along, quick response to heavier taps, quick recovery. Stick ping is not overly bright like most Paiste Rides, very moderate and right for this application, doesn't compete with the wash for dominance. I like this better than the Istanbuls and K Cons I have because in both those cases, although the wash is perfect, the stick definition is just a touch too muted, and dull. This Sweet Ride just accompanies the Piano and Acoustic bass just perfectly. It can handle heavier stuff easily, like Tony Williams level playing, without losing its character, or straining one bit. When I first played this cymbal it hypnotized me for over an hour with all the different tones, overtones, blends and characteristics it has. Its like a Swiss Army Ride. Crashable, and doesn't get trashy or gongish. I can't find anything this cymbal does not do well.
