I just recently purchased this 20" Paiste Twenty series ride. But after long deliberation, i just fell in love with the sound of it. Such an excellent sound and clear tone all the way through the sustain. No off color tones that you might get with other rides, just a perfect pitch all the way through. It has a good ping to it and great stick rebound. It's perfect for all styles of music. Sounds great loud for rock and it dyes down enough for jazz and lighter music. Looks amazing in the light too! The only thing that i'm disappointed about is the bell of the ride. It's pretty quiet and kind of hard to hit. But the actual sound of the bell is amazing and mixes perfectly with the overall sound of the ride. I would recommend buying this ride. But, i suggest trying it at your local music store first because it's kind of a unique sound.
This is the cymbal for the drummer who needs a bright loud cymbal with accuracy and the great loud overtone. You cant beat this cymbal with anything else offered its great for riding crashing and that cutting bell makes it perfect! I have played many other cymbals and although the sabian groove ride comes close it is no match for the crashability of this ride. Not to mention the price.
I have always have been a Zildjian player for 12 years. However when I first tried the Twenty series, I was blown away, I kept playing the cymbals in the store for a good 1 hour. After that, the sounds keeps ringing on my ears. I know I have to get the Twenty series soon. I sold all my zildjian collection and get make a big step of playing Paiste, which I have never liked the sound of their cymbals before. Anyway, these cymbals are very versatile. The bell has that solid ping for a harder sound, latin and accenting. The wash produced by the ride is just warm with a touch of trashiness and very articulate. The crashes are just a delight to listen to. The hi-hats possesed enough crispyness and smoothness that you can play any genre with the hihats. So the bottom line is: I have just converted to Paiste.
this is a great ride! its warm an dark yet crisp, mysterious sound. its loud, very loud ride. you wound here another ride like it. if you want a loud, dark warm crisp ride, get this one
This cymbal is simply amazing. I own the 20 inch Nice ping on the bow, extremely piercing and cutting bell, and beautiful tones and colors that come from this cymbal. Not to mention the finish is awesome, and the raw bell looks awesome. i didnt think this cymbal could cut through the kind of music i play, but i definantly does. Buy this now!
I have this ride on hold at my local store. It is honestly the most perfect, crisp, cutting, ride I've ever played. The bell attacks harshly with a high pitched, well tuned, ring that matches the rest of the cymbal well. I'm buying it to use as a crash as well as a ride because it is very versatile.
My oh my. What a pair of hats we have here. I have 4 different pairs of Paiste hats and the Twentys are simply the best. I have Signature Sound Edge and 2002 Sound Edge but these are just a shade above the rest.Dark but not too dark, responsive and washy. Very stick friendly and very easy hats to play. They have just the right chick feel and are not heavy on your stand. I feel these hats would suit just about any style of music. You owe it to yourself to try these hats, they are amazing.
