Bought this to use with the X7 double bass kit I use for practice and annoying the neighbors. It's where I experiment and let myself go. The kit sits on thick carpeting, and there's the problem. On a solid floor the PDP 820 works fine. But on my carpet it does more than just wobble, it freaks out. Total instability makes it impossible to concentrate on the drumming. The fact that my A Custom Rezo hats make the tube drop 2" doesn't help either.I'm going back to my Gibraltar stand for this kit & adding the PDP stand to an old Sonor Force kit I keep for my grandkids. They'll love its little "dance." All in all, I find everything about it unacceptable. A definite Don't Buy.

      great at any price

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

I have heard that 2 legged stands are wobbly on carpet floors---I have mine on padded carpet with an area rug on top of that, and it doesn't move at all---my zildjian hats weigh over 5 pounds! Not only does it function perfectly, it looks great too!!!! I have a pdp snare stand, cymbal stands, and throne, and a 502 double kick pedal is coming next. I don't see how you could go wrong with this stand. I highly recommend this for any skill level, and the bang for the buck factor makes it hard to beat!!!
this thing is built like a tank!

Decent Stand For What I Paid

      By Casey

      from Indiana

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

MF sold this stand to me for $49.99 because they mistakenly sold me a 3-legged Pearl stand that they said was a 2-legged stand before I bought it. This stand does wobble on carpet but I was able to stabilize it using a counterbalance by adding a splash cymbal on a clamp with arm. Also, the bottom of the pedal has velcro so it sticks to the carpet for added stability. I needed a 2-legged stand for my double bass set up so that I could position my hi-hat closer to me. The quality is as good as the Pearl hi-hat stand I replaced. This is worth the money if you're looking for a 2-legged stand.

Peice of junk & no better than any outher stand !

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

I had one of these stands last yr & was so disgusted with it I gave it away & went out and bought the 900hh 2 legged model, it costed me a little more than this one but well worth it & can honestly say say the people in manufacturing these did a great job making these stands!

Bottom line is buy the 900 model for a little more & save yourself some grief !

      Great Stand

      By Jordan Cain

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

I just got this today. Very very nice. Just need to make sure to extend the legs because it can wobble, but if you play on a hard surface you should have no problem. I'm completely satisfied with this and would recommend it to anyone.

Ive been looking at this stand for a while now and am so glad I bought it. the only reason it didn't get 5 stars in everything is because it wobbles a little bit on carpet with padding under it, but not to much to were it is a big problem. other than that this thing is absolutely amazing.

      Good stand

from Not available to the general public

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

This stand is sturdy and will hold any hi hats but the only problem is when the stand is on carpet it is VERY WOBBLY. if u play on a solid surface it is good but on carpet forget about it. overall id say buy it but extend the legs out as far as possible to try to cut down on the wobble

      Good... but on carpet...

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

This stand is great, strong and sturdy. It has virtually no wobble when used on a very solid surface... BUT... when used on carpet it wobbles like crazy! So unless you're always going to play on a very solid surface, do not get this stand. Other than that the stand is great.
