Pacific brand stands seem in general to be well-made and stable. The P/D 700 Straight stand is no different, despite being entry-level hardware. The polished metal finish is attractive, the feet don't slip (barring heavy stage vibrations), and the stand is strong enough to hold any size cymbal. The main drawback is how short the stand is at its fullest extension: I currently have a fairly tall drumset and any crash cymbal I have mounted on this stand will barely clear the Bass-mounted toms. I'd give this advice to those who are considering purchasing this stand: use it only for your Ride or for any cymbals mounted above your floor tom(s). Otherwise, look for better-quality, taller stands (or convertible or boom stands).

I got this stand because of my budget. Id much rather go for a nice dw or pearl stand but after getting an expensive cymbal you really arent looking to spend almost just as much on the stand for it. Overall, this stand does what its supposed to do. I have a 16" crash on it but im sure it could hold a little more weight than that. The tubes and legs are REALLY thin so it will shake a lot. If youre tight on your budget this would be the best stand to get.
You get what you pay for quality wise.

Comments about PDP P/D 700 Straight Cymbal Stand:
Build quality is cheap and made to be disposable like everything now days. Cheap plastic washer for the cymbal to ride on. Probably break soon. I have low line pearl and tama stands from the 1980s and 90s that make this thing look like a toy. It should work for me though as a practice stand. I will not buy another.

Comments about PDP P/D 700 Straight Cymbal Stand:
I have recently bought this cymbal and I feel that overall it is a good cymbal stand. I would not buy it if you are going to put heavy cymbals on it and the actual length that the stand pulls out to is not very tall. If you plan to put a splash cymbal or a china then I would buy it. It is not really durable but for the price it is a steal.
Comments about PDP P/D 700 Straight Cymbal Stand:
i own 2 of these. the base is sturdy. but the tubes are real thin and light. making them wobbly and then they start to creep to the right or left. i would only recommend this if you needed something with a small budget
Comments about PDP P/D 700 Straight Cymbal Stand:
We run six commercial hourly equipped rehearsal studios. We have all manner of heavy hitters beating the gear every day. These stands hold up against the roughest of players. These can't be beat for the price.
Comments about PDP P/D 700 Straight Cymbal Stand:
This stand is great. I bought this because I have absolutely NO budget, and I thought I would get an entry level stand. I have a 21" Zildjan Sweet Ride on this, and it holds perfectly. It doesn't wobble, it doesn't come loose; it's perfect, escpecially for the price. Buy it.
Comments about PDP P/D 700 Straight Cymbal Stand:
Although this stand looks incredible online, it is the worst stand I've gotten in my 14 years of drumming! It almost collapsed on my set when I was at a practice with my band! It is not worth the price, and is very weak, even when tightened. My advice: don't buy it.
Comments about PDP P/D 700 Straight Cymbal Stand:
I have two of these stands and they both hold up great. One has a 18" crash/ride on it and the thing will not move. The other holds a 14" wuhan china on it and is fine. Get somewhat high and hold great.
Comments about PDP P/D 700 Straight Cymbal Stand:
I bought this because I didn't have enough stands for all my cymbals. It is worth it! For less than forty bucks you get a stand that will hold up great! The only thing is, it gets high, but not quite as high as other stands...
