Pacific supports your style of playing!

The Pacific Drums by DW P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand is a medium-weight stand designed for general-purpose playing situations. It combines strength, durability, and flexibility with drummer-designed details. Now features larger-diameter tubing and double-braced legs for extra support.

PLEASE NOTE:
This stand is a hideaway boom stand, which means that the boom arm is hidden inside the tubing of the stand. To use as a boom, loosen both wing bolts and pull up. The boom arm will then come up out and you can then slide the boom at an angle and adjust.

I needed a good solid stand for my 20" ride, and this did not disappoint! I even added a boom clamp and put my 18" china on it with no problems. the hide-a-way boom makes it extremely versatile. I don't know how well it would hold up for heavy gigging, but it is certainly more than adequate for home or studio use. I am very happy with this stand, and plan to buy another to replace my old crash stand.

Its alright. No memory locks. I have been playing on it a couple times and have either the gear tilter or the boom just fall down on me. Its sturdy, but the boom and gear tilter is very bad. Also, the cymbal felts are the absolute worst felts ever. They caused a crash of mine to discolor where the felt was and I've only had the crash on there for a month or two. You are better off buying Pearl 900 hardware because it comes with memory locks and a gearless tilter, two important things this cymbal does not have. BUYER BEWARE!

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

Just bought my 3rd PDP 800 Boom Stand, the price is awesome for someone on a budget and the quality cannot be beat.
I've read a few reviews that complain of the stand not having memory locks. The easiest way to fix this is remember where you set your cymbals at. Ta-Da!!! Problem fixed.
Another complaint, the stand falls over. Note: any stand will fall over if set up improperly. Solution: Learn how to set up a boom stand properly. Ta-Da!!! Another problem fixed.
Bottom line, if you want a quality stand capable of holding cymblas at gigs (played many hard hitting gigs with these) and practices (again, numerous times, taking my aggression out on my poor cymbals) and you want a product that lasts a long time, this is it.

          P/D 800 Cymbal Stand

          By james robinson

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

I own a couple of Ludwig boom stands which cost well over twice the price of this P/D stand and the features are very comparable. The P/D 800 is actually slightly larger mill steel. It can take a larger crash like a 20" or pang with lots of stamina. No rattles, easy to operate. Worth it.

Great stand, well worth the money!

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

Very well built stands overall. Hide away boom arm double braced legs are a good place to start in making high quality gear. DW really stands up to there rep with their gear here. I have the 900, 800 and 700 series stands for my kit and besides the 700 series stands being a little flimsy (expected and splash cymbal stand or starter stand at best) the 900 and 800 stands are rock solid. I can hit my cymbals as hard as I want and never have to worry. My 900 stand has an 8x7 and 18" cymbal on it and no problem at all. All of them are well worth the investment and PDP/DW stand behind their gear 100%.
Very well built would except no less for Drum Workshop

          PDP 800 Boom Stand

          By doomtron

          from Oregon

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

I got this stand for Christmas to replace some beat up old stands I had lying around. Sitting next to a few of my Sound Percussion boom stands, the quality seems very similar. The felts and sleeve on the PDP seem better, but everything else is the same as the SP stands, including the lack of memory locks. So far it seems to be holding up well. I have a 14' crash and two toms mounted on it, and it's a bit wobbly, but it doesn't seem like it will fall over anytime soon. If I had bought this with my own money, I'd probably go back and buy two SP stands for the same price, but I got it for free so I'm not complaining.

          PDP good drums, bad stands

          By AmongTheLostDrummer4Life

          from Webb City, Missouri

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

I have owned this stand, 2 to be exact for less than a year, The stand is strong and holds everything just fine. The problem I have with these stands are the wingnuts screws that allow you to adjust the height just comes off in your hand. In my almost 30 years of playing I have never had that happen on any stand I have owned. The 900 series does this as well. I would not recommend these stands. Buy Gibralter for about the same money.

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

i got this for free with my brothers friends cymbals he sold me. Im a heavy hitter and this stand is amazing it holds my other 18" black slipknot crash up fine. i would but another but it wobbles allot and the only thing that would stop it from falling is my tom. I would recommend buying the Sound percussion (SP) boom arm its cheaper and a little sturdier to hold up heavy crashes and rides.

I have 4 of these stands, and i've been using them for 6 years now. they are absolutely perfect. I use two of them to hold my 18 and 20 inch crash cymbals, one for my ride, and one for my china. you can't get a better stand at this price.

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

it is a great stand but the gear lifter or what ever it is called does not work to well. i have used it for a while and i still use it. it is a tad bit wobbly and it it is hard to get my crashes positioned right (no memory locks). i would save the money and get a pearl or dw or yamaha stand but for the price what can you expect. the sound percussion stands are just as good or better. they are cheaper and just as good read their reviews.
