Good Quality For The Price

Features:

The stop locks are great for quick set up and I've always been a fan of the unilock feature to get just the right placement no matter what direction the rest of the stand is placed in my kit's set up. The new wingnuts are really nice, but being plastic instead of metal I do worry about if it falls or is dropped and the wingnut breaking.

Quality:

Pearl, in my opinion, has always made good stands and continue to improve with each new model they introduce. This stand specifically does a great job of staying put in place.

Value:

With the price Musicians Friend sells this stand you can't pass it up. Yeah there are better stands at more of a cost, but if you are in search of a quality stand for the price you can't beat this one hands down.

Overall:

Overall this stand will take a beating and continue to provide what you need from a cymbal stand. Whether you're looking for a quick replacement or something light weight for easy transport this stand will work well for you.

Why are there reviews on this product from people who have never used it?

Only a 9 because of the short (I think) boom arm.

I normally don't write reviews BUT, to see 7 reviews written by people that have NEVER used the product just ............angers me. You can't possibly have a working knowledge of something you have never used. Opinions don't mean SQUAT without real world experience. I use this product every time I play,6-10 times weekly.

I only gave it an 8 on features because I think the boom arm could, and should, be longer.

Very sturdy stand. Absolutely adequate in every respect. I use 4 in all my setups. 21" AAx on one. Not even a waver out of it, no matter how hard I hit. The other three all have 18" AAX-Plosion crashes on them. one with a12" tom, one with a 13" tom,and one with a 14" tom. The only time I have a balance problem is when I reach too far out, straight between the legs with a tom. Justa slight leg placement adjustment does the trick. Obviously, placing all, or most, of your load weight directly above a foot is best.

Well worth the money.Extremely well built for a relatively low priced stand.

I got two of these cymbal stands to hold my main crash and my ride. This stand works great for holding the ride but when ever i ride my crash the locks come untightend. Thats the only thing that was the main down point. If this is a stand you need to hold a ride symbal it works great other than that I would say dont buy.

I just got one of these for Christmas. Sitting next to my Sound Percussion and PDP stands, the difference in quality is striking. This stand is amazing! I have a 16' crash and a 13' tom mounted on it and it's solid as a rock. The stand goes way higher than you would every need a stand to go, and the tilters and memory locks are awesome. The memory locks seem like they might be a bit of a pain to deal with, but I can't really comment because I have yet to play a show with this stand. I love that you can use to a pair of drum sticks to tighten or loosen this stand. Really convenient. Top quality design and construction. Thanks Pearl!

Disappointed

Nice stand, but here are some problems: 1.  The memory locks just about require pliers to move.  This complicates set up and tear down as your attempt to collapse the stand into itself you run into these devilish little memory locks that don't want to let go.  If you gig, you just about have to remove them.    2.  The stand is much lighter in weight than some of my old stands.  This may be nice for transporting, but I'm concerned the light weight may not hold up to the rigors of gigging and holding big cymbals. I've been very pleased with other Pearl hardware I've purchased in the past but this stand is not one of them.  Sorry guys.  I returned mine.
