I wrote a review on this stand several months ago but maybe MF doesn't want to jeopardize its relation$hip with Pearl because they didn't post it. If so, there are no negative reviews for that reason. Anyway, I'll try again. The BC2000 is the most elegant looking stand you're likely to find, with a clean, modern, futuristic look. It would appear to be sturdy if the beefy double braced legs are the first thing you look at. But if you look at the thickness of the tubes as you get closer to the top of the stand, you can almost see they're just too thin to support any weighty cymbal, like a ride. I bought this stand thinking the counter weight would keep any cymbal from wobbling, because it looks like it should, but it doesn't. I've tried every possible setup to keep my ride from bouncing around on this stand, but the only one that works is if you convert it to a straight stand, and then realize that all the features and abilities of this stand are useless if you want to use it with a ride. Don't be fooled by the counter weight and beefy legs, the BC2000 is unstable. I'm going to sell it and get the DW 7310, with change to spare.

This is one amazing cymbal stand. In my opinion, the Pearl BC-2000 is the best Boom Cymbal Stand on the market. I've had this for about 3 weeks. Im in love with it. My plan is to put 2 or 3 Splash Cymbals on it. But while waiting for the Splashes to come in, i put my Zidjian 16" ZBT Crash on it. It holds very well. The 2 Boom Arms can reach almost anywhere! I love it! The only thing I don't like about it, because im only 14, is that it's alot of money. All in All, amazing product. Of course because it's Pearl!

I have 7 of these on my kit, they are awesome. Sturdy, strong, nice looking...just everything you could want in a stand. You can adjust it anyway you want, and if I could, I wouldn't change a thing.

These are the most versatile stands on the market. The best option for mounting is not even on the website... you can turn the knurled rod sideways and mount 2 or 3 cymbals on the stand with additional TL-2000 mounts. I personally do not like racks, and this is the best option for mounting splashes, or even crashes without having 10 stands. I have a 13 inch racktom, a 16in and 12in a-custom cymbals on one and it is very sturdy (moves a little but not when playing), a 18in and 14in a-custom on another, and a 10/8/6in splash on a third... Great stands for the money!

This stand is as good as it gets. You won't find a better anywhere. It costs some major dough, so make sure you can't make due with something else. Thats not to say that this stand isn't worth it. It is rugged and infinitely adjustable. Everything on it is beautifully engineered and of fantastic quality.

I just got two of the stands and am amazed at how many different uses/positions you can achieve with them. Heck, I spent 3 hours just setting one up in as many different positions as I could. They are amazingly sturdy even with a 22" ride hanging on it. And of course the removable weight is great. If you don't have one of these bad boys, I highly suggest upgrading to one or more. They make it all a lot easier.

IMO Pearl hardware has always been superior to the rest, as an example the joints on my older stands (Pearl, 20+yrs) have loosened from playing but the clamps are just as tight as the first time they were set up...no drum sagging with Pearl stands. I looked at these and had to pick up a couple, this boom is an engineering masterpiece with so many configurations within one stand...Bravo Pearl! They thought of everything with this stand...and for the reviewer in PA, I wouldn't be surprised if Pearl had a "plant" adapter for this baby as well:). I think I might upgrade the rest of my hardware not because I need to but because these stands are so damn Cool!There should be no question if you're looking for a solid boom stand, the BC2000 is in a class of it's own and worth every single penny and given my experience with other Pearl hardware this boom will last when others will begin to fail! ...Go get one or three!!

Pearl is not kidding around with their hardware anymore. This is the most radical cymbal stand I have ever seen and used. It is without a doubt one of the coolest/baddest boom stands on the planet. It is exceptional in every way immaginable. I'm getting rid of the rest of my stands and buying a bunch of these. Sure there expensive but your great great great grandchildren will still be using these things a 100 years from now. Hell I think I might even buy some for my living room and hang plants on them. I really dig these stands. Check them out at a music store before buying one. Awesome!

Wow- it sure is great how hardware for drummers keeps getting improved- this stand is built with such quality and detail. There are anti-vibration ends on the extensions to ensure no tube rattle.
