When I ordered it I was a little concerned about the way it attaches to the stand, but it turns out to be rock solid. It's as sturdy as if it is part of the stand.
Perfect for adding a splash or small crash cymbal to an existing stand. It's sturdy enough for a heavier cymbal, but the arm is only 15 inches long, so it may not be able to place it where you need it give it enough clearance. It would depend on where you need to place it, I guess.

I have been a big fan of Pearl products since i was young. My first set was even a pearl! I gotta admit, though, this insn't so great. I bought this stand for the recent addition(about 2 months ago) to mount a 12 inch splash. Even though it is a lighter-weight cymbal, the stand has already broken. I have done 4 shows with this stand and it worked great for all of them. It takes up no space and has a very strong bracket. Last week I was setting my drums back up in my garage and the bolt that tightens the ratchet snapped in two. This part of the stand is virtually irreplaceble and it was past return due, so now I have to buy a new stand. Probably a Tama stand of the similar design. Well, it was a good stand for the money, i just got a defected one. I will reccommend this to any drummer. Buy Away!

Comments about Pearl CH70 Cymbal Holder:
Have purchased TWO of these for my son, who is a metal drummer. Both snapped at the elbow after about three months of regular use. Any suggestions for a heavy metal rocker?
Comments about Pearl CH70 Cymbal Holder:
I like the quality and the ability to attach to any stand, cymbal or high-hat stand. Sturdy enough to hold up in rigorous use.
Sturdy attachment cymbal holder. Works great for small crash or splash cymbals without the hassle of trying to squeeze in another stand. Already have one, may add another.
Great Quality of course. Pearl makes awesome hardware for drums.
Great value
Comments about Pearl CH70 Cymbal Holder:
This little thing can hold way more than a splash i was able to put a 20in ride on it and it was all the way out the only problem is my cymbal stand wasnt heavy enough so it could tip easly other wise buy this product you will not be dissapointed.

It is sturdy and great for holding splash cymbals. i put my paiste 3 splash on it and so far its been the best cymbal holder iv ever had. and thats saying somthing because i have about 5 diferent cymbal holders on my set all in all great cymbal holder a must have!!!!
Comments about Pearl CH70 Cymbal Holder:
I bought a pair of Pearl CH70 in october 2007. The one I use for 20" AAX Metal Ride and the other for 18" crash with 10" china-splash on top. Played many gigs with it.., it feels good in a hardware bag. I agree with guys below: sometimes it's not so fun and quick to get it in the right position. However, it's very durable and versatile.
Comments about Pearl CH70 Cymbal Holder:
This stand works amazing for just about anything you need to mount on it. I've put splashes on it, crashes, and right now I've been using it to hold a cowbell and a wood block. The only thing I would not recommend doing is mounting a large cymbal like a ride or a large china, but thats the same with all clamp stands. Besides that, great stand Pearl!! 2 thumbs up!
Comments about Pearl CH70 Cymbal Holder:
I'm a gigging musician and I bought two of these to mount a small 8" splash and 14" china. Pearl does not disappoint. I haven't had any issues with slippage or parts breaking like the other reviewers, and honestly the quality is real sturdy and definitely holds it own when being thrown in my drum bag or knocked around on-stage. Whats so great about it is now I'm mounting all sorts of hardware on it, metronomes, stick bags, cowbells, very versitile product. However, there is one minor flaw, sometimes it takes some tweaking to get it in the right position, but usually its minor and I can get it where I want it.
