Comments about Pearl Dennis Chambers Signature Snare Drum:

I have a few high end snares in the studio and this is at the very top. I record with it and the body and depth is massive for deep blues fatback. But retune, mike it close, and it's a funk snapper. I love the dual strainer tweaking it really has to be heard. The only thing close is an older Steve Ferrone PEARL signature chrome over brass but is a metal snare sound. The Chambers is woody, warm, fat or tight but the maple warmth is always there. The attack cuts through even when tuned to a get deep R&B vibe. It absolutely kills, kills on slow blues and ballads. I'll never sell it~!

    Best Bang for the Buck

    By wipeout man

Comments about Pearl Dennis Chambers Signature Snare Drum:

Dennis has now gone back to this snare and it brings out the best in him. I've tried many different snares costing twice as much on different gigs, but this one just blows them all away. The dual snare tension seems to give you the exact sound that you want. This drum sounds good in any setting small room or large hall. For the price there is no other manufacturer that can beat it's sound.

Best snare drum you can buy

    By solo man

    from Winnipeg Manitoba

Comments about Pearl Dennis Chambers Signature Snare Drum:

Notice, Dennis Chambers has now gone back to this snare in his latest sessions. It sounds great, it makes him sound great. It's crisp, it's got crack, snap, depth. I've owned, sold, traded, over 20 top of the line snares, but would never part with this one. Whenever I take this one on a gig, after playing for a while I feel that I could never achieve a better sound. I've experimented with different heads and they sound different, but all sound good. This is the one and only snare that any pro drummer could ever want.

    Rich Sound, Useful Features

    By urban drummer

Comments about Pearl Dennis Chambers Signature Snare Drum:

Very full, rich sound. Even the guitar player in the band says he can hear the difference between this snare and all others. The hoops are very nice. The two throws are very, very useful. It's like having several snare drums in one. You can quickly adjust the snare tension by sliding the throws to pre-set positions. Great for quick changes between songs or even during a song for added dynamics.

Comments about Pearl Dennis Chambers Signature Snare Drum:

I love this drum! I was looking for a maple main snare that would do what ever I asked of it. After 5 years, it has never let me down. I can get that fat back beat and killer rim shoots. I can even march on it. No concerns of getting lost in the mix, this drum is plenty loud!

    Amazing Snare.

    By Kyle GrotesQue

    from Joliet, Illinois

Comments about Pearl Dennis Chambers Signature Snare Drum:

I used this snare to record a demo for my band. My snare got a little messed up, and a friend let me borrow his, which was this. It has amazing tone qualities, you can make it high, or low and it sounds great all around. No ringing either. A little pricey, but well worth it. I'm buying one when I get the money.

    Best Snare Ever!!!

    By SpaceCowboy729

    from Sauk Rapids, MN

Comments about Pearl Dennis Chambers Signature Snare Drum:

This snare drum is one of the best innovations in Pearl's lineup of exceptional masterpieces. These drums are not only great set-snares, they make great concert snares, and even Cracker-Jack snares if tuned properly. They can also take a lickin' and keep on tickin'. Another great aspect of this drum is that it gets better with age as well. If you want a snare that has Power, tone, and all-around capability, this is the one to get.

Very good sound, easy to tune and play.

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Pearl Dennis Chambers Signature Snare Drum:

This snare is very enjoyable to play, it has good sound that carries well because of its deep shell. The only difficulty is getting a high sound out of it because it has such a deep shell, it is clearly not for piccolo sounds, but overall another great Pearl product.

    Love

    By Matty D-cu5Hq

    from Northern VA

Comments about Pearl Dennis Chambers Signature Snare Drum:

I coveted this snare until I owned it, then I fell completely in love. I own three professional quality snares and this is my workhorse. This drum sounds like a miked, produced snare sound all the time. It's deep, warm, and dry, not to mention LOUD. It actually sounds best with loose snares, getting the full effect of the great maple tone. If you like a wet sounding snare this drum is not for you. Try one with an HD Dry and see what you've been missing.
