I love this set!!!! I bought three just because its limited! the best set I've played in years!
This kit is amazing. I got it for a hundred bucks cheaper cause it was a blemish kit but it only had one small scratch underneath the bass drum so you can't even see it. Sounds great, cymbals it comes with suck but hey, thats when you go get the meinl cymbal pack.
i got this set for christmas when i expected something else.and of course i went apey.i set these up and started throwing down, and it didnt take long either.the quality of these drums are great, which, its a Pearl so wat else would u expect? the only thing is the heads aren't the greatest so i personally would buy some Evans afterwards, although they held up pretty well to me beating the snot outta them.all in all this set is great right down to the hardware.
This set drum set is great. Awesome quality from Pearl and is what you can expect. Comes with great Tom heads already on it and not too bad 18" crash/ride I'd prefer to buy a cymbal pack with it tho. All the stands have great stability and this set is an overall great product.
This is an amazing entry level set, that has a lot to offer. First off, the snare sounded great, with a smooth, warm tone, and the same for all toms and bass. this set is even better than the top line sets from other companies, and has quality written all over it and the Pearl logo. As you can tell, I am a Pearl fan, but this is an incredible set, with an incredible offer. Enjoy.
Ive had this set for about 3 months, I love it, especially the black with black hardware, it sounds great, and the third tom comes in handy when I do some rolls. The only thing I didn't like were the heads, I went with some remo ebony pinstripes, and I just got the p-122tw, and some sabian and zildjian cymbals.I don't like wooden snares all that much, so I bought joey jordisons snare, which is the best snare I have ever played onThis set looks and sounds amazing, and it has a reasonable price, I'm thinking about buying another one of these sets.
I've been playing roland electrical drum sets for about five years now; I finally decided to give acustic drums sets a shot again. I bought this kit and wasnt to exited with the sound at first, but after replacing the stock heads with Evans EC2's and adding some dampening (remo) rings, the sound this set produces is fantastic. I also like the fact that I can use the 13 inch tom as a floor tom by clammping it to the boom stand and tunning it a bit low. I play this set for hours at a time. I just cant stay off of it.
Ive had this set for about 6 months now, and I was very surprised at how good it sounds, and loud as well. This is my first set and im pretty satisfied with it overall. If I had it to do all over again I would have got chrome hardware because its a little more flashy, and easier to find replacement parts if you need them. Overall the forum has good quality for the money. Replace the stock heads with remo, and youll be ready to play with a good sound.
This set is so great for beginners. One thing I recommend is learning to play snare for a year or two. It's a great way to nail speed and timing, but anyway, this kit is great for the money, but the cymbals are obviously not it's strong point. Great for kids (or adults) looking to start a band with some friends. Switch the heads and cymbals and this set is near perfect.P.S. The snare is very snappy, a little too snappy, and I'm in a marching band.
