OVERVIEW

A complete choice in entry-level drums.

For decades the Pearl Forum Series have been a leading choice of entry-level drums in its price point! The quality, tone, and affordability are the main reasons this drum shell pack has been so successful.

This Pearl Forum standard sized 5-piece is a great entry-level drum shell pack. The 100% poplar Pearl Forum drum shells feature Pearl's exclusive scarf joint (gapless seam) construction for uniform shell vibration, unimpeded by air pockets, for warmth and richness usually found only in more expensive drums.

It features low-mass lugs that give the drums optimum tonality and resonance, as well as low-mass I.S.S tom mounting system that delivers maximum sound optimization by keeping minimum shell contact. The heavy-duty SP-70 bass drum spurs offer great stability, while the key style tension rods give you the ability to achieve precise tuning on the bass drum.

Also included in this set is a full set of stands and a cymbal pack of Meinl cymbals: a pair of 14 high hats, a 16 crash and an 18 crash/ride.

SST (Superior Shell Technology)
As with all Pearl drums each shell is formed from their legendary SST construction process which uses extreme heat, precision-cut scarf joints, Pearl's proprietary Acoustiglue, and over 1,000 lbs. of hydraulic pressure to create the ultimate acoustic air chamber.

Comments about Pearl Forum 5-Piece Drum Set with Meinl Cymbals and SP Hardware:

Had some troubles with shipment but customer service is top notch! Played at church before but been years since I played again.

Easy set up. Fine tuning the sound is a bit time consuming but I got pretty much all except for the snare. Can't seem to ge the right snare sound that I like. Might need to replace the drum head.
