For the longest time I had been using a few year old starter kit hi hat stand, and grimacing every time I played it. When I finally ordered and received my Pearl Eliminator hi hat stand I knew I was in for a treat - and Pearl definitely delivered. The top hat can be adjusted so smoothly and precisely in distance above the bottom hat - something that might not seem that amazing but really is if you have a lower end stand. The action of the pedal is nothing less than perfect too - allowing for a much broader array of possibilities for accenting your hi hat hits - something anyone will have fun with.Lastly, this thing is STURDY. I knew when I picked up the box that it was going to be tough, and when I positioned it correctly I knew it wouldn't move or break anytime soon.Overall this was definitely worth the money I spent on it, although cheaper is always nicer. You get what you pay for - these are no joke. Between this and the Eliminator double pedals I also got recently, Pearl has gained themselves a lifetime hardware customer.

I currently use the DW 90002 HH stand. Great, fluid action that initially replaced my broke faithful first run Eliminator. The DW however has three chains that can and sometimes do come off track during transport. This causes a greasy mess when realigning. I wanted the Eliminator again for gigging because I know with the twin cams, I wasn't going to have the chains go off track. Problem is, the rubber washer that sits inside the pull rod housing was MISSING. This caused a CLANK evertime I lifted my foot from the pedal board. The Replacement for that stand? Springs are grinding and moaning inside it. I just don't get it. My first stand was a master piece ten years ago. One thing that has remained about the Eliminator is that hands down, bar none, it provides the greatest amount of tension and torque, bar none of any hi hat stand on the market. Its adjustability is unmatched as well (if it works!) but what I truly found was after comparing it next to my DW, the CYMBALS ARE ACTUALLY LOUDER ON MY 9000 stand. Brought in my tech just to confirm which he did. This could possibly be the new style base mounting cup on the Elim....it is beefy plastic (light in weight but BIG in size). Same clutch, same hats...definitely more precise and livelier on the DW. So I'm sticking with it. I will never buy Pearl again. Years ago, they were reliable but that has changed....at least for me.
Features are nice....if they are consistently manfactured to a QA standpoint of excellence. Bought two back to back that had internal mechanical issues. Bought an Eliminator HH stand on the first run 10 plus years ago and it was flawless in it's craftmanship. However, after years of touring/gigging, the leg base rivets crapped out one me. I owe it nothing. Newer product possibly assembled in a nother country NOT named Japan.
No excuse for a stand this expensive to be missing/and or be composed of fragile parts. I don't have the heaviest foot.
Value would be there but weight and unreliability have me looking elsewhere.

Comments about Pearl H2000 Eliminator Hi-Hat Stand:

This is Pearls "Top of the line" hi hat stand, and it is named that for a reason. This piece of hardware is the smoothest, fastest, sturdiest, and useful stand i have ever used. Between the press button spikes, easy tension twistable adjuster, 2 leg set up, and dual braces legs, this thing is amazing.

There is one drawback to this piece of hardware however. I owned the Tama lever glide before this (great stand too) and it did one thing better, fold up. The pear stand, in order to fold up, has you loosen to screws, take the footboard out of the playing position, and re-attach and screw it into a different position on the frame.

Other than that, great pedal!

Comments about Pearl H2000 Eliminator Hi-Hat Stand:

Our son had picked out a much cheaper hi-hat stand. By finding this "gently used" one, we were able to get him the quality Pearl highhat that will last him a lifetime.

H2000 Eliminator Hi-Hat stand

Comments about Pearl H2000 Eliminator Hi-Hat Stand:

This is the 2nd one of these stands I've purchased in order to have one at each location where I play/practice. I've also got the Iron Cobra top end HH stand and greatly prefer this one over the IC (and I'm a Tama drum user).
You get what you pay for!

Honestly impressed.

Comments about Pearl H2000 Eliminator Hi-Hat Stand:

I had recently upgraded from a crappy beginning Ludwig bass drum pedal to a shiny new Pear Eliminator double pedal, tired of playing on a set that I had long since outgrown in skill and playing capacity. Me, being my OCD self, got this hihat stand so that all my pedals would match, figuring that the hihat stand would be just as awesome as my double pedal. I was completely and utterly right! The adjustability on this stand is phenomenal, from the precision of the bottom cymbal tilter to the infinite footboard adjustment, to the cams, the deadly rubber/spike tipped feet, everything. I must say, it was a challenge first assembling this stand out of the box, and it seemed to just despise me right off the bat. I tried picking it up off my porch and dropped it almost immediately, the heavy bugger. The footboard assembly also didn't seem to like me at first, because it didn't seem to want to lock into the bottom of the stand, but i look back and it must have been just the newness and roughness of the black coating. After i had it put together, i tinkered with the fine tuning, and managed to impale my thumb on the spike tips of the feet. Man, those things are SHARP. As are the spikes on the bottom of the stand. If it buried into my hand do easily, i am confident it can lodge itself firmly in my carpet. It is a stable stand, without a doubt, doesn't wobble one bit, and i don't forsee it having to be retired for a long while. This stand certainly satisfied my OCD, and it is nice being able to look down at my pedals, knowing that they match up like relatives. I can now go smoothly from a heavy doublebass groove to a funky beat with lots of heel splashes, with the security of knowing that neither the pedal nor stand are going to be wobbling away or breaking anytime soon!Definitely a good buy, and worth what I paid for it.

OH MY GOD! This stand is ridiculous. It is absolutely amazing. Sure it might be a little pricey, but what the heck, it is rigid as a tree!! Plus it has the adjustable cams. Thank you pearl.

The last hi-hat stand I'll have to buy (hopefully!

Comments about Pearl H2000 Eliminator Hi-Hat Stand:

I've owned an early 2000's Eliminator H2000 for a year or so now. It had already been used and abused for most of this past decade and was cosmetically hideous. I repalced the top pull rod with a shorter DW-brand rod, repainted the exceptionally worn-out base and set it up with my gigging kit. I'm reviewing this used stand here because after 8 years or so of serious torture testing, my H2000 is silent, smooth, and amazing to play. The metal stands up to abuse and looks like new once polished. Since the H2000 shares componentry with the P2000 pedal and most pedals made by reputable companies, maintaining or repairing this stand is also child's play. When I swap a piece of gear, it's because my old gear didn't feel right and/or didn't last. I've used Tama, Gibraltar, DW, and various other Pearl stands over the years, all of which suffered from wrong feel or hardware failure (except the Pearl H-885 stand which I have as well). All in all, this is the best hi-hat stand I've ever used and judging by how wonderful it feels and how easy it is to maintain, I'll own it for many years to come.

Comments about Pearl H2000 Eliminator Hi-Hat Stand:

I got this almost two years ago and since then i have had one smooth ride! i actually have not even changed out any of the hardware on this stand. all of the stock chains and drives have been more than enough to produce a crisp and clear sound no matter what style i have played. the suspension is very smooth and seems to handle any weight of cymbal so far. overall 5 star product!
