The very versatile Horacio Hernandez Chabella Cowbel was designed by the contemporary Latin jazz wizard and pitched in accord with "el Negro's" strictest standards. The Hernandez Chabella is intended for drum kit and percussion players. Flat on one side and curved on the other, you have the option of striking the Pearl Chabella bell end-on or on the side, like a timbale player. A 2-position bracket keeps the wing nut out of your way so you can place the Chabella in virtually any position. The Pearl Horacio Hernandez Chabella's beautiful copper-plate finish looks as unique as the bell's tone sounds.

I love the feel, sound, tone quality, and overall look of the cowbell. Pearl made yet another great product!
The screw attachment built into the cowbell for mounting it on a stand is amazing. Also it has a curved side and flat side for 2 different sounds. There is a small foam piece (mute) that comes with the cowbell, use it! It makes the bell sound way better.
It's Pearl...Enough Said. No really, this cowbell is durable, i used it on marching quads before i decided to buy it for my drum set.
ITS CHEAP. Yes its not the cheapest, nor is it crazy pricey. It is a great piece of equipment for the $$$$.

After playing on El Negro's kit after a clinic, I had to have this bell...and I am definitely NOT disappointed. An LP guy for many years, I now have "canged camps". This series contains the best sounding cowbells I have ever played. Get one!

I really love this cowbell. It seems to be a brushed copper finish over steel, with a clear coat over it. The copper is a bit darker than a polished copper. When the edges are in shadow the bell appears a beautiful dark blackish copper. It has a swinging attachment wingnut that is large and easy to use, NOT a cheapie tiny wingnut. This wingnut is black plastic almost 2" wide. The bell can be put in any position you want. The mount AND the bell are quite heavy duty with sturdy smooth welds the entire length. The inside is coated black. The bell has a flat side and a curved side to make it more versatile. "PEARL" is etched in script on both sides. The sound is incredible. It has tonal ranges suitable for any type of music. This comes in 5 sizes but this company only carries 2 sizes. The medium that I bought suits what I think a good cowbell should sound like. I do wonder how long the clear coat will last, but if it is a clear epoxy it should be quite durable. You can always Krylon it if it does show wear. I use wooden tips so should not hurt it but this bell rings so true you don't have to murder it to get a good sound. Even hand held it sounds great. Give it a try. Taxi herself.
