The Pearl P902 is a single-chain double kick pedal with Pearl's revolutionary PowerShifter function that provides three positions to fine tune the power and feel of the pedal. To change the drive angle, you simply move the footboard forward or back, changing the leverage to create a light, normal, or strong feel. Also includes independent traction grips, zero play hinge, roller cam hoop clamp, aluminum die-cast wheel clamp, frictionless spring roller, wide tension-range spring, uni-pressure spring clamp, and a Duo Beat beater.

It just happens to be priced that way. I have the single 902, and I liked it so much I got this double version too. The weight ratio is absolutely perfect and allows this pedal to be anything you want it to be. It is extremely smooth, built strong and has a precision feel. These guys saying you can't go fast on the pedal, couldn't be more wrong. Trust me when I say that this is currently the best bargain in all of drums. Pearl stuck the landing on this one, big time, and you absolutely can't go wrong with the P902, regardless of your playing level.

I bought this pedal almost 5 years ago, and it was impressive when I first picked it up. BUT this is a BEGINNER's pedal at best. Adjust-ability isn't its finest feature, nor is a fast pedal. Bright sides: it's durable, and as a single pedal it suits an abundance of needs. Again, if you're a player with Double-bass experience this isn't the pedal for you.

I have had other pedals and were not very happy with the way you had to adjust them. The one is EASY and user freindly. The set up went quick and I had more control in seconds. They are plenty fast for me and I like the way they can be set up. For the price they rival more expensive brands.

Nice tight setup thats easy to use. Love the adjustable footbed. Increased my speed and timing substantially over the only slightly cheaper doubles I replaced these with. My other set had more play all around to start with and started to loosen up even more at the u-joints within a couple of hours of play ,not so with this set. Good enough value that I also got the replacement warranty with it so there's no worries for a couple years....

Got this for my son the drummer, and couldn't be happier with it. It's well made, came with good instructions/tools, and looks like it will last for years. My son loves it! We got a cheaper model previously and had to send it back because it was not good quality -- we should've gotten this one to begin with!

This Pearl Double Pedal is an excellent piece of gear at a modest price. I'm a multi-instrumentalist recording artist replacing a single bass drum pedal on my kit with this Pearl double pedal, which has been a superb addition. If I were a touring gigster, rehearsing, sound-checking & doing strings of long sets at gigs, the more expensive pedals would be apropos for wear and endurance etc. But this modestly priced Pearl meets all the requirements in the studio, is solidly built, and will do the job reliably and indefinitely. A great addition to a single pedal replacement with terrific quality/value for money.

overall for the money these pedals can get the job done but theyre not very fast. especially when im trying to do tripple hits (playing alot of avenged sevenfold stuff!!!) i just cant get the pedal to do it, its simply not fast enough. i also dont like the single chain. i would definitely recommend these to a beginning drummer. theyre durable and well built but simply not fast enough for me. im buying a set of dw5000's.
i like the double sided beaters felt on one side and plastic on other. decently adjustable pedal.

So far - I have no complaints about this pedal however I have only been using it for a month or so now. I see no reason why this pedal will not perform as expected for quite some time - setup was pretty simple other than 'tweeking' that would be needed for any pedals. Double chain pedals would be more durable but also quite a bit more expensive and I cannot justify that high-end pedal cost based on the demand that I have for double bass material. So far - I think was a great purchase.
This pedal does not have the durability structure on the high-end double pedals but this is a really good starter pedal for someone that is just learning to play double bass or even someone that does not require a continuous, extremely heavy double bass action such as for heavy metal material.
or band plays modern country and classic rock - dont have a lot of need for double bass but we are picking up a few cover tunes specifically because of the double bass. The quality o fthis pedal for the style of music that we do is great - I expect it will last a long time.
Not a top end pedal but certainly not the top end price tag as well. Based on research and rating of other pedals - this price tag for this one with its features was certainly one of the best for the money.

As long as you take care of them and don't abuse them, they'll hold up for awhile!
Well worth the value as long as you take care of them. No problems with mine after 5 months of playing them.
