The Pearl PC-8 pipe clamp fits perfectly on the Pearl e-Pro Live with the modified Icon Rack. The rack will accommodate adding more drums and cymbals if you use the Pearl PC-8.
The tom arms, shells, cymbal holders, and rack all uses the PC-8. NOTHING has fallen off or even remotely got loosen once tighten. I like it mostly because Pearl's Lifetime Warranty is offered on all their products!

Good quality item. It does not fit the old school Pearl DR80. I brought these to a machine shop to make them fit my 1 9/16" X 2" rack.

The other reviews on here about the clamp not fitting your rack say nothing about the quality of this clamp. If you buy the wrong clamp for the rack you own, (which it sounds like in each case) of course it won't fit properly. In my case I own a DR-80 rack, which this clamp is made to both fit and compliment in style. As far as the clamp itself, the particular rack that I bought already had 7 used PC-7 clamps which are far more versatile as they are completely variable diameter clamps (adjustable on both sides).I came to learn that Pearl has long since discontinued these and the PC-8 is all you can officially get today for a DR-80 rack. Although they can be used for a wide variety of equipment they ultimately have a more limited range than the PC-7's since those are adjustable on both sides, while this one is just the one. Really there isn't much other option from these other than trying to find used PC-7's on ebay, or just getting a different rack. Ultimately though, these things are built solidly and properly providing you are installing them ON A DR-80 RACK. Haha.

Maybe these fit better on the DR-80 rack, but I got some for my icon rack and I had to bend the clamp open a hair more. Otherwise you have to force it on, then it's stuck and you scratch the crap out of your rack. After all that, they seem to work just fine, but the initial fitting ticked me off. Bottom line: if you have the money to spend 7 more dollars a piece, go for the PCX-100. If you really don't have the money these will work fine, but they're more of a pain and not constructed as good as the pcx-100.

I bought a pearl 6 sided cage about 6 years ago that had these with the cage. I expanded to more stands so I bought some of these and they are not the same. These are a lot cheaper metal, and the company that bent the angles messed up on there figures. I rebent mine and now they fit.
