Striking looks with the volume, sensitivity, and articulation to back them up.

The Pearl Reference Redline Snare Drum has 6 inner plies of birch with 14 outer plies of maple for a staggeringly thick 20-ply shell. The 45-degree bearing edge brings all 20 plies to the party in a highly focused sweet spot. This projects the volume that you would expect from such a thick snare drum shell without losing sensitivity or articulation.

Sound isn't the only thing that sets the Pearl Redline Snare Drum apart. The Redline Snare features white hoops and lugs on a white shell with specially designed red gaskets. The rubber gaskets isolate the snare drum shell from the hoops and lugs. They are infused with red dye, creating a striking splash of color.

The state-of-the-art in modern hardware adorns these Pearl snare drums to maximize every nuance of the shell construction. All Reference Snare Drums feature Pearl's SR-1000 Glide-Lock Strainer, which includes a locking throw-off lever and tension knob that won't loosen no matter how hard you play. Low-friction technology permits smooth gliding action for ultra quiet, super precise motion

Comments about Pearl Reference Redline Snare Drum:

I ordered this drum after considering many others, and I am happy that I chose this seller, and this drum. The service was phenomenal.

I ordered the product and was informed that it would take several months to arrive. I was in no hurry, and was content to wait. We then recieved a call stating that the drum was being made specifically because of our order. After several phone calls, the drum was made, and ready to be delivered, around two months early. However, I was on vacation at the time and was away from the house. Musician's Friend held back the delivery until we were at our house. We arrived at our house, and the next day, the drum was delivered, in perfect condition.

The drum itself is fantastic, with a very pure tone, little to no excess reverberation, and incredible sound projection. The drum has only one drawback; it takes a somewhat delicate touch to keep it from overpowering everything, with regards to volume. Still, this is no large drawback because it is not overly difficult to compensate. This is overall a very good drum, and I am happy to own this product.

      This Drum is SICK!

Comments about Pearl Reference Redline Snare Drum:

I have played on Numerous Snare Drums but this 20 ply drum will tear out your ear drums and jump up and down on them. I have never hit a snare that is as loud without a mic.

I did add a Remo Muff L Ring which took it down enough to hear the rest of my drums plus added warmth which I like to have.

This is an excellent add to my Pearl Masterworks kit!
Thanks Pearl for being my drums of choise not only for quality but for that look I like as well.
It is expensive but worth the money.
