I've played on many different snare drums over the years (about 50) and for the price, this one takes the cake!! With the proper tuning the attack and crispness of this drum is off the hook! It looks very nice and has an easy to deal with strainer. excellent all-around snare!!

I tried really hard to like this snare, but I just can't. In the year that I have owned it, I have never found a tuning range for it that I thought really brought it out. I have changed both heads several times, and replaced the snare wire with nothing really helping.It is sensitive, and responsive to your playing, but it just sounds sub-par.I also have a 12" Wooden snare drum that I like much better, and maybe its just I don't like large, metal snare drums. As with anything, try it before you buy it.

i love this snare i have played on alot differnt snares this is the best by far and plus the stock heads are not that bad it has a nice clear sound yet it cracks with great sound this snare is good with any kit simply it comes down to BUY THIS!!!

Let me start this off by saying that this snare drum does NOT look as bright silver as in the picture. And it matches my black Pearl Vision kit nicely. When you get the snare the stock heads are not really that good. There is some ring with stock heads. I have Aquarian High Energy for the batter and Aquarian Classic Clear side. I tune my snare very tightly, and this snare gives me just the sound I want. It sounds great in metal music. And then you switch it over, same tuning, and it sounds great in indie and alternative music. This snare takes some tweaking, but when you get it tuned right, it will sing.

This is a great snare drum. It is very loud and very sensitive. The stock head is'nt that good as are all stock heads on drums, but just slap a Remo Powerstroke 3 on there and it will sound great. This drum is perfect for drummers who want a better snare for an affordable price.

I got this drum with my new Pearl kit, and I was amazed... I put on an Attack coated head, and it gives off just the right amount of overtones, and shines right through the sound of the rest of the kit.
