I have owned this kick for over a year. I have had no problems with the kick. Pintech always makes a heavey duty product. Cast iron or plastic? I'll stick with pintech on the casted stuff. Any mistriggering was always associated with a module setup problem. I love this kick and will certainly purchase another when I build my second set.

Judging by the picture, this appears to be the exact same kick that is a part of the pintech tour elite set that Pintech makes. If that is the case, then this product sucks beyond belief. Sure, its built like a tank but its also about as useful for a kick drum as a real tank would be. Nothing but springy and bouncy action all day long... not so bad if you're playing a snare drum or building a trampoline, but this is a kick drum for crying out loud... If you want a bass drum where you can feel a THUD and not a BOING then save yourself some considerable pain and forego this immense underachievement in product engineering.

This is the only piece I saved from the Concertcast kit I put together. Triggering was adequate, comfortable to play. The only downfall is when you use a double pedal on it, it rocks back and forth in direct relation to how hard/fast you're playing. Fortunately the mega-Velcro on the bottom holds it in place fairly well, but this product needs arms to stabilize it under normal playing conditions.

In general, I think Pintech makes a very good product and, in disagreement with another poster, these Concertcast ST kicks are better than decent. I've played a kit containing this kick and regularly play upscale Roland V Drums and there isn't that much of a difference.
