This is a great cymbal for a basic single zone crash. It is actually the most responsive and has the best feel of all my e-cymbals (8 including Rolands and Harts. It is much quieter than the Harts and not so heavy and "dead" feeling as the Rolands. However, it IS NOT for heavy hitters. The trigger is right under the sticking area and will break quickly if you like to bash it! That said, Pintech has, hands down, the best customer service. I called them up and they mailed me a replacement trigger the same day, which was easy to replace....if you can handle a drum stick, you can handle changing this trigger. They give free replacements for the first year and $20 each after that. I am a Pintech convert now!

I added one of these cymbals to my new Roland kit as a second ride cymbal, and I'm not impressed at all. The Roland CY8's are only a few dollars more, and worth the difference. The Pintech cymbal came to me in poor packaging, (a plastic bag), and is warped due to its construction. Their thin, plastic cymbals with absolutely no quality at all, and have horrible sticking feel! I'm selling this one on E-Bay and buying another Roland CY-8. Don't waste your time or cash on this cymbal, there's better ones out there

Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:
We were in a pinch and needed to replace our Roland CY hi-hat in a hurry. Ya get what ya pay for. We knew this one is Single Zone. We didn't know that it wouldn't stay put on its stand. Once Roland's warranty is settled for our hi-hat, we'll have a nice target for Ted Nugent to use.

Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:
This is just a single zone cymbal, which means no choking. i am a metal player and my pintech electronic drums came with this cymbal. i did replace it a little over a year that i got it. the plastic will break and crack if it is played hard on. over time. otherwise, great practice cymbal.
Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:
Used this cymbal for a couple of months and broke it quite easily. It has no weight or heft to it making it feel weird to play. The electronics break quite easily inside. Not worth the money to buy.
Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:
Let the buyer beware on this one. Owned the Pintech trigger for less than three months and stopped working last night. I guess you get what you pay for with this line of Pintech products. I have no experience with their higher-end products.
Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:
I was looking to add one more cymbal to my Yamaha DT Express II and this did the job on a budget. I've had mine a year now, use it regularly for recording, and so far so good. I have the smallest one (cheapest and why pay more for the others ?); it's a little light, and at first it spun around a little when I'd hit it, until I adjusted the angle in such a way that balances it better. All in all these are nice and I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:
I've Had 4 pintech cymbals for five years and play them everyday. they have great sensitivity and look brand new still today. Don't buy anything else. they are inexpensive, too.
Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:
I liked the trigger action, in the beginning. I would recommend this if you have a low budget for a descent triggering system. It is great for first time electronic drummers. You can learn a lot about triggers and such. However, they wear out if you are a fairly aggressive drummer. I am already replacing 2 cymbals after 6 months of moderate use (4 hours a week). PINTECH makes affordable electronic gear and I like the kits, but if you are serious about sticking with electronic triggers, spend a little more.
Comments about Pintech Trigger Cymbal:
the best trigger cymbals you'll ever own. I've had mine over 5 years and will purchase more, the price is phenomenal.
