I did some research online before buying the throne. I was interested in knowing if a back rest could be added to the throne. After reading many comments online and in drum forums I found that pork pie did not make a back rest attachment. I ordered the throne anyways after trying out a friends big boy throne. Most comfortable throne I have ever sat on. I received the throne 4 days after ordering (shipped to Canada). I grabbed my Tama 1st Chair and took the back rest off of it. Measured the holes on the Pork Pie throne, BINGO! It fits! I now own the most comfortable throne on the planet!

I love the thick seat on this thing it allows me to practice for hours without the distraction of a sore butt. The clamps to lock everything in place are thick and built well, they should be plenty durable. Height adjustment on the seat is great, I'm 6' 4" tall and I found a comfortable setting that would probably feel too high for most players. If this throne ever wears out, or if I have a need to purchase a second I will definitely go with the same throne again or another from the same manufacturer.
I can practice for hours on this throne, the cushioning is just right and the materials and construction seem like it will last a long time. From the legs to the beefy clamps and the fantastic seat you can tell this thing was built to be durable.
I had a tough time justifying the cost, but even though I feel it was a little overpriced I'm still happy I purchased this model

I love this throne! I had the really cheap, no padding very basic throne and could only play for about an hour or so until my legs fell asleep or my butt started to hurt.

This has been one of my best investments so far. It is very comfy and has a large sitting area for larger people.

I would definitely reccomend this throne for anyone that is a bigger person.

For you people that have an issue with odor, as stated on prior reviews, all you have to do is spay it with a fabric protection, such as, Scotchguard, ext..., if you've already used & sweated it, clean it with, Woolite fabric cleaner spray, then spray it with a protective coating after its dry from the cleaning.

I sat on many thrones at shops and even wrote to the manufacturer reps. to get specs., being I was in the retail furniture business for a few years & having an inferior throne, I wanted to make sure I would invest my money properly this time. Pork Pie, was recommended to me by a drummer & sales person at one of the shops as the best & most comfortable & he's right!

Very well made product, heavy duty with an impressive variety of cool colors. I purchased this product looking for a "cushy" throne, and it is thick enough, but turned out to not be comfortable for my body type. I am 5' 7" but find the height adjustment doesn't go quite low enough and the seat is too large for my frame and puts me in an uncomfortable position. I am experiencing back issues that I never had in the past and will be replacing this throne with the Roc-N-Soc. I believe this product was designed for people with larger body types but would recommend smaller and/or shorter people steer clear.

For years I used a Gibraltar seat. It served me well. After a few songs, I would always need to stand up to relieve the growing tension in the rear and legs. Brother and Sister drummers, you know that feeling. THERE'S A BETTER WAY,PEOPLE! This seat is soooo comfortable, I never feel like I need to stand up while playing anymore. BIG difference in comfort than a standard seat. It's nice and wide. Cushiony, but firm. Great swivel. The cherry on top is, it looks super smooth too. This has got to be one of the most comfortable drum thrones you can get.And if the earth's gravity has a stronger effect on you than say a smaller person (ha,ha), this seat will be like sitting on a funky little purple cloud.

I am a beginning drummer. A big obstacle to me wanting to practice was the drum throne that came with my kit. It was small, too low, and entirely too hard for me to sit on comfortably. I bought the Pork Pie throne after reading that they are made for "the larger drummer". I got it last night, and WOW...it's as comfortable as my couch. It's definitely large enough to accommodate me (I'm six feet tall and quite large framed, so it's hard to find a throne that's comfortable), and it's got a nice seat that is firm enough to hold me in place while I drum, and yet soft enough that my tuchus doesn't get sore. I am really glad I bought it! Although the price is a little high, I think it's worth it. It's definitely a high quality throne.(Plus, holy cow - the purple velvet is completely and 100% pimpin'!)

I got this about a week ago. I upgraded from a hard cheap round throne that surprisingly lasted me almost 6 years. It was falling apart and I would always slide off it when I played blastbeats. This thing is soo comfortable. My legs don't get as tired and my back isn't sore. It does take a while to realize the difference it makes, though. I like the motorcycle better than the round version because of the shape which frees up your legs. And as for the height, it does sit a little high, but the lowest setting is as low as you would want to go anyways. It's also not too high priced, considering what a nice throne this is. Be warned, though! The only side effect of this throne is not wanting to play when you sit in it, but sit back and relax instead.Get it! And be sure to get a sweet color, too.

This is by far the very best drum throne I have ever used. The back support leaves me with no fatigue or pain after a five set night. I would recommend this throne to the thinnest or heaviest drummer out there. PEACE!
