This snare is just the best. I have played many different snare types, brands, sizes, etc. And this is by far the best. Not only can this snare get loud, but sensitive as well. You can barely tap the snare head and get a good snare sound out of it. The vents (holes on the sides) let sound escape quickly, so you don't get any ringing or ugly sounding overtones. I put a Genera Dry head on the top, and I get a snare sound that has a good crack, but has a good, fat presence as well. This is the snare sound you have been looking for, the one most drummers want and dream of getting! Get this little piggy today!

Features:

This snare is a beast. The 13" diameter makes it able to be tuned very nicely. I like it medium tight, and very dry sounding. The 7" depth gives it a.... well a deeper sound. The vents allow the snare to sound dryer by letting the air escape faster. It also makes ghost notes stick out and it increases overall volume. If you put the evans HD Dry or the G2 Coated, you can't go wrong with the sound. It sounds like Underoath's sound for the snare. Amazing.

Quality:

The craftmanship is amazing. The snare sounds awesome, and unless I do something stupid with it, I doubt it will ever break. The hard rock maple exterior gives it a warm but aggressive sound.

Value:

This is the best part about the snare. It sounds like a snare at four times the price when tuned correctly. You get a lot of bang for your buck. Unlike other companies, this snare is not made in China.

Overall:

I have been looking for a nice snare for almost a year. I took my time, and I didn't let the budget affect me. This snare exceeded all of my requiernments, and best of all, it's affordable. I love everything about this snare. The sound, quality, value, look. If you want something different that is not a 14x6 snare, consider this snare. Very versitily and sounds awesome.

So I decided to buy this snare four years ago to replace the stock snare I had on my Pearl kit. What a wise decision, this snare is pretty great for the price. It's fantastic for cutting through the mix because it is one of the loudest 13 inch snares I have ever heard. It can be tuned to a low dry sound or you can crank it up to sound like a piccolo it's all up to your preference. The only thing I do not like about this snare which is a pretty big catch is that it does not hold its tuning. Every time I play my kit my snare sounds different which is a pain because of all the time I have to spend putting it back to the tuning I want. Don't get me wrong this snare sounds great for the price, but I would save my money for a more consistent snare.

For the price this thing is unbelieveable. Sounds fat and has such a loud crack and the stock heads weren't bad either. I slapped some new ones on anyway and it sounded even better. I spent a long time researching on low price but high quality snares and i'm so glad i went with this one. BUY IT
