These sticks are wonderful! I have fairly large hands, and they're still very comfortable. The tips seem to have about a 6 month or so life-span. Then they start wearing down a bit. Overall, the sticks are a winner. They're very similar to Vic Firth SD-4 maples, by the way; just a smidge thinner diameter. I LIKE IT!!!!

For anyone wanting to try something different and expect good results I strongly recommend you try this series. There were two aspects that grabbed ny attention. The first was how much better the rebound was compared to the many stick experiments I have tried. As a result, I feel that it is an excellent stick in which one can develop and actually progress in controlling rebounds. On a more personal note, my long rolls and single stroke rolls sound so much better and actually fell better compared to past stick experiences. The reason is that this stick does more of the work for you which is what any good drummer should consider in selection of a stick or mallet.The second aspect that really made me enjoy playing with the sticks is the design of the bead. Do not let the quirkiness of it fool you. The amount of clarity and precision I got from playing on cymbals and the hihat was simply (I know it sounds cheesy) a heavenly experience.One last note, I feel that these stick are best suited for above average or extremely technical playing (By technical I don't mean just fast). If you a very straight forward, keep the beat type drummer, you may not notice anything special about the sticks that enhance one's playing. Personally, I feel that I can get more musicality through these sticks than any other pair I have tried. I hope this information was useful to you.

I've traditionally played with 5A and 7A's. These sticks are perfect for me. They bounce really well and produce a bright, low volume sound. I order them by the dozen.
