The ProMark Thunder Rods are just what I was looking for. They are louder than the other Rods, but they are still a lot quieter than sticks. I use these at church mostly, so I don't over-power the rest of the band, and these are quiet enough for that. They don't chip as easily as Hot Rods, and are very durable (even for the hard hitters like me!) They give a pretty good all around sound, even on cymbals. Previously I have had and used different wands and brushes made by Vic Firth and ProMark Hot Rods, but Thunder Rods are the best for me.

Bought, recieved, and got about 3 songs through a set and they rods started comming apart...literally. Im a hard hitter, and I have to have something that will hold up. These did not. Ive used Zildjian, Vater, and Ahead rods. I like the Zildjian and ahead. These are by far the worst multi-rods I have ever used.

Comments about Pro-Mark Thunder Rod Drumsticks:
I use them for church worship. I've used sticks, but enjoy better volume control without backing off the drums as much. They do get a different sound than sticks, but I like it. Also, for me, they have a great feel.
Comments about Pro-Mark Thunder Rod Drumsticks:
i purchased these for a quiet solution of loud drumming but they do not really help bring down the volume in any way i have noticed.
Comments about Pro-Mark Thunder Rod Drumsticks:
These are sweet! They play a loooooooooot quieter than sticks, and they soften up the tone of both drums and cymbals. Of course I got the heaviest one's, because I didn't wanna keep breaking my drum stuff, and when I got them (a little before Christmas) all four Pro Mark rod sizes were the same price. Thanks Pro Mark!!! (My mom thanks you too!!)

Comments about Pro-Mark Thunder Rod Drumsticks:
I got these drumsticks hoping that I could get something quiet that fits well with acoustic intruments. These drumsticks are louder than I expected, which was disappointing, and aren't as quiet as any of the other rods. Though they do give a good snare and a ping on the cymbal, just they are too loud for the places I'm playing in. If only these were softer, they'd be PERFECT for me. Which they're not, and It's not.
Comments about Pro-Mark Thunder Rod Drumsticks:
These are the best drums sticks for an acoustic setting. I recently played an acoustic show with my band, and these were very good. They provide excellent sound, complete with warm, full snare clicks. Though these are more expensive than the other Pro-Mark Hot Rods, they are better, so spend the extra money and you will get the better quality.
Comments about Pro-Mark Thunder Rod Drumsticks:
Been using these sticks for sometime now and there simply the best stick for creating a range of sweet, full taps, or raps on skins. They're a little light and whispy on the cymbals, but great on hi-hat as they respond with precision, and create a full cymbal stomp, or light, whispy, tingling cymbal taps. Also, with a little emphasis you can get a nice bell rap off of the bell of crown of the cymbal. My style of play ranges from jazz to hard rock, and everything in-between. Try them. I did and I won't do without now!
Comments about Pro-Mark Thunder Rod Drumsticks:
These have lasted me along time, they're pretty tough and great for the price. The only thing about them that I don't like is the width. They're really thick, and I have actually dropped them in live performance. They sound incredible, and I would recommend getting a few pair. These are great sticks for the price. *Look cool too!*
