    Eh, could do better...

    Comments about Protechtor Cases Cymbal Case:

    This is a basic "bare bones" hard cymbal case. There's no padding inside and the first time I took it on tour the plastic wing nut on the outside broke off so I replaced it with a metal one from the hardware store. Not a bad purchase for those on a budget but if you really value your expensive cymbals then definitely go with a Zildjian cymbal safe instead.

    Solid, but strange

    Excellent construction. I had the idea that this was built different than it is. I find that the way the lid screws down the cymbals is not as nice as I had hoped. I put a 20" ride, 18" crash ride, 16" thin crash and 14" HH and it is full, so be careful!

    Great for a budget.

    Comments about Protechtor Cases Cymbal Case:

    I bought this 6 months and it is great. The shell is really rugged. Though if you have the money for the SKB version then get the SKB. The XL doesn't have a rubber coating on the threads as the SKB does. Just a pet peeve of my mine, having to unscrew the top becomes tedious during times of quick set up. This is a great product and would recommend to anyone. It has never let me down. great. Like I said if you can get SKB do it.
