This is a great little drum set for newer and intermediate drummers. you will have to replace the bass drum pedals, the heads, and the snare (but you normally have to replace those anyways). This is a great drum set for the money but if u have some cash to blow then get somthing else, i recamend a TAMA or a PEARL. summary:good set, replace some stuff and youll be fine P.S. if you buy this, get the extra tom that is a little bit more money but not bank breaking.
I bought this kit a few years ago, looking for something new and cheap. I really should have went to a store, but I once again bought upon impulse. I'm writing this to help my fellow drummers. Pros: Good amount of drums for your buck. Even if you don't play two kick drums, it's really nice to have the spare. Only reason I went for this big of a kit.Cons: Shell quality isn't that great. It took a while to get a good sound, and most of the time I gave up. All of the heads need to be replaced - at lease the batters - or you'll be in dent heaven. Overall I wouldn't make this choice again. I would definately take my time when looking for a second kit, especially when your first one sounded better. Hope this helps.
